I'm a little late with this post, because I've been a busy guy this week with several photoshoots, a new camera, and our ongoing health issues, plus my truck broke down right after shooting with Moe. Moe is a new, to me, model. She contacted me and asked if I wanted to shoot with her as she was coming to Vegas. I agreed and we met up out at Redstone and shot for a couple of hours. We started at 11am so it was pretty hot. We stayed in the shade for the most part. As you can see, Moe is a very beautiful woman who used to live in Hawaii, but now lives in Arizona, from ocean to desert. It turned out to be a great shoot except for my truck issues. I had to limp home with the turbo charger out (which in a diesel is a pretty big deal).
Next up is one of my favorite people, Merrique. She has started traveling again, YAY! We met up out at Calico Basin and shot from about 8:30am to noon. By 10am, I was ready to call it quits, but we stayed out and caught our second wind. There wasn't much of a breeze, but that helped out some. Merrique has died her hair blond as you can see, but kind of overdid it (she was saying she got a little carried away and fried her hair.) She's waiting for it to hopefully cure itself. As usual it was a great shoot even in the heat and with people walking by every so often. Nobody seemed to complain though. We had a couple of ladies stop by and admire what we were doing. They commented to that effect. One even replied to my comment that it was a little hot, to take my clothes off like the model. I politely declined. They chuckled and went on their way. I should note they were wearing skimpy sports bras and shorts and little else. I believe they would have joined in had I invited them to.
Last but not least, Marie and Raven called and asked if I wanted to do a shoot with the both of them as they were traveling through Vegas on their way to Phoenix. They are on a two month tour across much of the southwest, California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas. I've shot with Marie quite a bit and she is always a great subject. Raven and I met at the Arizona Shoot Out a number of years ago, but didn't shoot together at the event. It's since been discontinued, but I've heard rumors that they're trying to get it back together. I love how Raven and Marie compliment each other in coloration and looks. I also love how Raven's black hair turns blue in the sun.
Thank you all for your support. I hope you like this post and my changing it up to highlight more than one model. You make it possible to continue my photographic journey during this trying time. If any of you want to see more of a particular model, let me know, and I'll see what I can do. Thanks again and sorry for the late post this week.
