Rachelle

Rachelle is based in Great Britain and contacted me about doing a remote shoot with her.  I agreed.  Quite a few people don't take advantage of remote shooting abilities.  Quite a few models think that a remote shoot should be just a naked woman standing in front of a wall.  Over the past couple of years, remote shoots have evolved into sophisticated shoots with multiple sets and better photography gear.  A lot of European models are now offering remote shoots from studios.  I find that you get out of remote shoots what you put into it.  If you interact with the model, you get a lot better result than if you just stay silent during the shoot.  Granted you're not in the same room with the model and the camera location is somewhat static (which was the real negative to me since I tend to move around a lot during a regular shoot), but you shoot the series of shots and then move model and camera.  Many of the remote shoots I'm doing these days also involve a cameraman that can adjust or relocate the camera to get a different angle.   I recently did one with Julie in Russia in a studio with a camerman who didn't speak much english, but with Julie's translation help, we managed to get some really good photos.  Now back to Rachelle.  This session was done in an AirBnB that she and her partner were staying in.  He's a photographer so he understood camera angles and lighting.  Rachelle and i started in the master bathroom, moved into the bedroom and finished up in the guest bathroom with some clear glass shower doors.  She couldn't get her hair or makeup wet, because she had a shoot right after this one, but we sprayed water on the glass doors to get a nice affect.
