A quick word on old savegames.
Added 2020-08-14 16:04:49 +0000 UTCWhilst a lot of you enjoy playing through the game from the beginning every time I bring out a new version, I know quite a few of you would simply (and understandably - personally I'm sick of the early game. I've test played it hundreds of times and know it all off by heart!) like to start at the new content.
This isn't definite, as 0.5 isn't anything like finished yet, but I'm hoping that 0.4 savegames will work. However, the save must be from BEFORE the end of the final 0.4 scene. Any saves from after that scene definitely won't work.
0.5 is coming along nicely, although I still have a huge amount left to do. I'm hoping to have it ready by the end of the month, but it may slip a little.

I won't know for sure until I've got everything finished and am able to test it properly, but at the moment, I'm hopeful that it will work.
2020-08-20 09:00:06 +0000 UTCI hope it will work. I finally have the perfect run and i don't have the patience to do it all again. (I will if I have to - your game is really good - but like I'm a really lazy person) :p

2020-08-15 10:32:51 +0000 UTCI look forward to breaking this new functionality in testing = P

2020-08-15 02:37:31 +0000 UTCI'd be absolutely amazed if that worked. 0.4 introduces new variables that aren't referenced in 0.3. Didn't you get any crashes?
2020-08-14 19:47:40 +0000 UTCi don't exactly know why or how but when .4 came out i just used .3 saves and it worked all just fine as far as i know of

2020-08-14 19:37:40 +0000 UTCYeah, that had occured to me. But that would mean picking a generic name for the player, and I know a lot of people really enjoy having their own name in the game.
2020-08-14 18:18:31 +0000 UTCThis sounds good (although I am among those who prefer replay). A quick idea that you might find helpful, though: have you considered pre-packing save files (one for each stage, for example) that players can download with the latest version? If I understand it correctly, that may be less restrictive if you want to re-edit some old fragments of the game.
