It's intriguing that the ending doesn't show Dr Collins actually keeping Midnight's Song. If she does, why haven't we seen her using it yet? If the book has the power to give a "normal" person such hypnotic power, imagine what it could transform Dr Collins into. If Dr Collins kept the book, I'm sure we will see her using it on one specific character, whom she could not hypnotise with her own human skills alone. Which might be the reason, why she wanted to get her hands on that book in the first place. But until then, it's just a theory 😉

She was one number away from being completely hypnotized, but She was able to distract Cynthia into looking into the hypnotic painting and turning the tables. Well done! So what will happen to the Midnight Song? Will the police take it for evidence or will a sleepy detective steal it for Her?

It was very clever to implant the hypnotic visuals of the painting into Cynthia's mind. Still, Dr Collins must be more careful when dealing with magic. I would suggest a strong ally that could teach her how to defend against such evil tricks 🧚♀️
