Hello everyone.

For those who are worried, everything is fine, I am physically fine and nothing bad has happened to me or anyone else.

Today I am going to my parents' house to try to work from there. It is not possible to work here at the farm right now. It has been raining non-stop for a week. In the almost fifteen years I have been here, I have never seen anything like it.

The power goes out very frequently and it takes hours to get back on. Although the company responsible for the electricity in the street fixed the cable that broke last Saturday, other storms almost as strong as the one on Saturday happened again, new branches and trees fell and I think there must still be something wrong with the wiring inside the farm. The cables are too heavy to move alone, so I am waiting for help, but two people have already said they would come and they have not. The workmanship in Brazil is very bad and in a rural and peripheral area like here it is even worse.

My internet was only fixed today. I've been without internet for a whole week. To make matters worse, the rains are so heavy and continuous that I still don't have satellite internet on my cell phone because the carrier towers are also having problems in this region. It was and still is a real mess around here. I've been through heavy rains around here before, but nothing has come close to what happened here.

I've been aware for a long time that this place, as much as I like it and have a whole family history here, is clearly incompatible with the type of work I do. It's desperate to see your credibility disappearing because of these problems and at the moment I don't have the means to go to a place that is more compatible with the work.

I want you all to know that I'm doing my best to resolve this whole mess as soon as possible and that I'm very sorry about this situation.
