Personally, I have no issue with asking Emma for help, but for one, thats been the go-to option for far too long. Its just getting a bit repetetive. Asking She-Hulk for help feels like a nice middle ground between asking the Brotherhood or going to Fury and SHIELD. It would also bring back some underutilized characters.

2025-11-07 22:49:35 +0000 UTCSo a lot of the debate seems to be that we’re hiding behind Emma’s skirt/following her lead like a toady vs we should be acting on our own. To the question of always turning to Emma I say we’re doing so as an equal. At the end of the day we’re not as powerful, telepathically, as Emma but we bring even more power to the table and have quite a few hard counters to her power. Using the resources of the Hellfire club makes sense and Selene is always going to be watching us just as we should assume that others are as well. Assuming no one is monitoring us is the wrong idea. Assume we’re being monitored basically 24/7 with only a few brief moments of freedom, and not even during our various liaisons, from said monitoring. Does it appear we can’t do anything without Emma’s approval? Yes but only to those that do not know the relationship between Thad and Emma. The Avenger’s might be a good second option but we’ve not contacted She-Hulk nor the others since the Facility incident. The Brotherhood is right out as that would give the game away that we’re going to try something or help with something involving Magneto. Shield is also out as they’re filled with moles and as much as Marvel and the fandom hype him up Fury isn’t all that great at keeping his organization clean. Don’t get me wrong he can be a great spy he’s generally just a terrible manager. Going off on our own is feasible between our luck powers and the allies we can pull in that most don’t know about like Magik and the Widows. Let’s call that Plan C. So Emma is Plan A, Avenger’s Plan B or C, Lone Wolf Plan C or B, then Shield and Brotherhood tied for Plan Please No. Also don’t forget we can always take a few people to Limbo and bring Magneto there. We honestly need to hide Quicksilver anyway.

2025-11-04 04:13:21 +0000 UTCEmma has a massive amount of resources and contacts that Thadd doesn't have yet. Using your resources well is the sign of a good leader. Refusing to do so because you think it looks weak is the sign of a bad one. That is pure ego or pride talking.

2025-11-03 15:30:54 +0000 UTCAt this point it's looking as if Thaddeus is incompetent and unable to do anything without consulting Emma for everything. I would have preferred if that had not been an option at all. His supposed role of leader is not as convincing now.

2025-11-03 07:34:00 +0000 UTCWhy only one organization? Emma and Xavier have vested interests, Avengers have the public persona to make it into an incident the feds can't brush under the rug, SHIELD needs to know how deep the rot in their own side is, and all of this is a matter of scale rather than powerful individuals. Even turning the president would just force their research underground, not nip the Sentinel program and the Facility in the bud. Among others. Pull Magneto out alone, in a neutral location, and use him as bait and leverage to get everyone to sit down together and decide if it needs to be a public or private war against the feds. Not just his growing harem and allies, a proper sit-down of leadership. Maybe even call in Selene, or at least let her know so she won't feel like the White Queen is moving to oust her behind the scenes.

2025-11-02 19:08:20 +0000 UTCEmma has the resources, but what's in it for her? Blowing her limited cover and maybe gratitude from Magneto, for all that's worth. Alternatively, we have the Avengers who have on *several* occasions put a boot up the Feds asses when they do sketchy and shady shit. Plus, I want some more Avenger banging.
