Originally, Quicksilver couldn't think much faster than a regular person. It was more like the unconscious body having the power of super-speed than the conscious, so he could get tripped by regular people and stuff like that. Catching bullets wasn't in his skill-set. MCU Quicksilver is like that version, rather than the newer one which is significantly more powerful.

How long did it feel like to him for his death to...complete? Finish?

But you guys chose Emma instead of Mystique for the second opinion so you didn't find that part out. And Wanda literally wants nothing to do with their father and it caused a rift between her and Pietro before he died that was only really 'fixed' by his death making Wanda question pulling away from her brother like she did in the first place.
