Always thought it was because both Celine and Rumi's mother both fell for the Rumi's Dad. I can see it almost like an Inyadha style trope. (Demon falls in love with mortsl) Celine feels extremely guilt and hate for Rymu's dad for choosing Rumi's mom snd also probably the reason she died at childbirth, and they never mention the mysterious third member, so I'm assuming she's aware so she either hates Celine for causing it or she wad one of the ones who wanted to kill Rumi because she was half demon and doesnt see her human half.

I mean, the problem is that Gwi-Ma can control ANY demon without a soul (anyone but Cambrian's Jinu) through their patterns, right? A demon could be a total sugarcube, but Gwi-Ma could still control them like a puppet to kill the person they love, right?
