In regards to the cost of licensing R. Kelly's song; it wouldn't have cost that much really, as Sasha was doing a cover of the song. It costs significantly less to license the rights to record a cover version of a song, than it does to license the original recording.

So the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) has an agreement with the wrestling version of the WWF for a long long time that they could use the initials in the US but not internationally in marketing and promotional ways, however Vince being Vince would constantly ignore that, so the wildlife fund took them to court and won as they used the initials first. So they had to re-brand to WWE and most archival footage has the WWF logo blurred out now.
