Vibe Check #2: Silver Eyes' Replacement

So yeah, the response I got with last week's Vibe Check was pretty much what I expected. You guys said everything I'd been feeling and then some, making it clear that it was time to cut my losses and move on.

With Silver Eyes sunsetted as of today, I'm probably going to be doing a couple of Vibe Checks in the coming days to try and get a concrete idea of what I should be writing next Monday for posting in the usual Silver Eyes slot on Tuesday.

That said, while I originally intended for this next vote to be a setting poll, I already have a setting/idea that I wanted to run by all of you first.

Basically it would be a DxD AU featuring an MC who found himself on death's door and offered a second chance at life as a Devil. Only, the reason he was reincarnated as a Devil would be to be subsequently thrown into fighting pits, where he would be expected to work off his 'debt' as a gladiator in death matches until opportunities to escape presented themselves.

If that sounds interesting to a majority of voters, then the next Vibe Check will be to decide whether the MC should be AU adult Issei (probably Issei-In-Name-Only) or a Male OC instead. And if Male OC wins THAT Vibe Check, the next Vibe Check would be to decide the Male OC's powerset, which I've currently boiled down to either Reactive Adaptation (think 'what doesn't kill me makes me stronger' dialed up to eleven) or Energy Absorption (think soul/power/energy sucking vampire type thing).

Admittedly these last two paragraphs are basically all of the thought I've put into the idea so far, just in case it turned out to not resonate with you guys on a foundational level.

If it turns out that it doesn't and the majority of voters reject the DxD setting as a whole, I'll set up another VIbe Check in a couple of days with other settings instead and we'll go from there.
