Jess learned it from Miss Rachel and I learned it from Jess. I'll be using that from now on. A lot. Whether people want me to or not.

2025-09-24 17:05:08 +0000 UTCThough I bet someone fitting that description has been at Studio 54 :D

2025-09-24 16:30:09 +0000 UTCAnd he was a serial sex pest and abuser. This came to light last year.

2025-09-24 14:44:29 +0000 UTCIronic he called Fayed the dirty old man, considering what we know now about him and his sex crimes. Just so you know, fox hunting involves releasing a fox and chasing it and have about 200 dogs chase it across the fields while it's terrified and when it's exhausted they let the dogs rip it to pieces! Absolute scum.

2025-09-24 14:03:35 +0000 UTCAl Fayed sold Harrods years before his death.

2025-09-24 12:02:22 +0000 UTCI haven't read all of the comments but someone has probably already said it. Mo Al Fayed was the father of Dodi Fayed who died with Princess Diana. Harrods is his shop which is a massive and expensive store in London.

2025-09-23 23:25:08 +0000 UTCStudio 54 is one of the most famous clubs in the world. Ali G was meaning Area 51. That was the joke.

2025-09-23 23:15:17 +0000 UTCI generally agree with your thoughts, but I have to correct you on one thing; the laughter isn't canned. The show was filmed in front of a live studio audience.

2025-09-23 19:15:44 +0000 UTCI love how Sacha/Borat allowed the fox hunters to openly express that they "enjoy" killing animals, showing their true colours. Absolute scum bags.

2025-09-23 14:33:30 +0000 UTCFunny you mention FUBU Mike - When I was in high school I bought a FUBU hoodie because I liked the look of it but didn't know about the brand or reputation. It was a difficult few months at school as I was often singled out for it by dickheads, so I had to pretend I knew and style it out and rough it out. It was expensive, we couldn't afford to buy a new jacket. Also, I'm really hoping that kiss at the end was for me!

2025-09-23 11:46:26 +0000 UTCThe professor guy in the drugs interview was a lecturer at imperial college when my brother went to medical school and at the end of the first lecture everyone went up to ask him if he's the guy from the Ali g interview and he got really annoyed and said that's the only thing ppl know me for and then they asked him about how it was set up and he said he thought he was talking to some guy from a children's education show but after a while he thought this guys a complete idiot lol - he had no idea it was fake

2025-09-23 10:52:28 +0000 UTCPersonally I don't massively enjoy this series, as I really don't like the bits in the studio and some of the comedy seems really obvious and forced, but series 2 and 3 I think take a huge leap forward in quality. Always hugely preferred the series set in the USA. No studio segments, no canned laughter, more interviews, more Borat. And I think he relaxes into the character more in the gap between the series as well.

2025-09-23 10:17:33 +0000 UTCI've never actually seen Al-Fayed in an interview before. It's scary how you genuinely wouldn't know the things he's done. With Jimmy Savile, he made your skin crawl when he was on screen. Great reaction though 💜💚

2025-09-23 00:25:58 +0000 UTCFox hunters can get in the bin.

2025-09-22 23:01:47 +0000 UTCAl Fayed is dead now and all sorts of accusations about him sexually assaulting women came out. Ali definitely better off not borrowing his ball hoover 😂

2025-09-22 22:03:19 +0000 UTCThat’s the bit I remember too! The drug guy. I must’ve been paying particular attention to it back then 😂

2025-09-22 21:13:57 +0000 UTCHe said under the hotel in New York and said Studio 54. How in the world are we to make that connection? It's supposed to be a hidden bunker in New Mexico.

2025-09-22 20:43:26 +0000 UTCYep. The vast majority of Brits are strongly opposed to fox hunting.

2025-09-22 20:37:08 +0000 UTCYou're American and you've never heard of Area 51 (and the loopy conspiracy theories surrounding it)?

2025-09-22 20:01:56 +0000 UTCI think you were being a bit polite about the fox hunting guys, probably because it is a cultural thing you don't understand but most Brits don't understand it either. It's a mostly upper class thing and it is nothing but cruel - just like bullfighting in Spain. It is illegal now but unfortunately still happens. One of the great things about Sacha is that despite all the silliness, he does a lot of skits that shine an uncomfortable light on undesirable aspects of our society. I hope you'll react to 'Borat' and 'Who is America?' for more of this in the future. Also, don't worry about the Al-Fayed thing. It's easy to take the moral high ground in hindsight but you weren't to know. It doesn't stop Ali G being funny.

2025-09-22 19:31:30 +0000 UTCAl Fayed’s store, Harrods, is known as the world’s most expensive shop. It’s a massive department store here in London and well worth a visit, particularly the Food Hall. If you are coming to London next year, it’s walking distance from Hyde Park, where many tourists gravitate towards. Would make a cool morning’s itinerary to go to the park, the Natural History Museum (one of the world’s great museums, which is free to enter) and Harrods. Just six stops on the Tube for me.

2025-09-22 19:12:32 +0000 UTCWhen he said the bit about his mate Dave driving a bus after 22 Es, I burst out laughing in the gym in front of a load of people 😭

2025-09-22 19:02:42 +0000 UTCThe joke re: Studio 54 is he means Area 51. He likes making these dumb mistakes... Just like when he was talking about WMDs but calling them BLTs in the Best of ep u reacted to.... Sorry, if that was clear. Just wanted to clarify.

2025-09-22 18:18:39 +0000 UTCThis episode has some of the best Borat moments of all time. Would have been a travesty to skip it just because of that monster Al-Fayed.

2025-09-22 18:06:32 +0000 UTCGood episode, I vaguely remember the drugs guy. I couldn’t tell from the reaction if you knew who Mohammed Al Fayed was? If not, he basically grew up in poverty and built an empire. He owned Harrods (very fancy and expensive department store in London), the Ritz Hotel in Paris, and an English football club (can’t remember which one). He was also the father of Dodi Al Fayed, Princess Diana’s boyfriend who died in the crash with her. He always maintained that the royal family killed them. You’ve seen the other comments though. He was also a sexual predator who assaulted many women. I still found this interview funny though, even if he was a monster.
Emma Edwards
2025-09-22 18:05:43 +0000 UTCThe first Borat movie is a must-watch if you guys have never seen it.

2025-09-22 17:36:42 +0000 UTCMike, one of the jokes you and Jess probably don’t get is when he mentions Berkshire and stains, he talks about them like there the LA ghetto when they’re like little villages that couldnt be further away from the LA ghetto

2025-09-22 17:21:48 +0000 UTCIf you react to no TV that features people who turn out to be ‘problematic’ you wouldn’t react to pretty much any TV from the 70s to today. Humour in particular has aged poorly when it comes to changes in societal norms and is a product of its time. Im not excusing this monster’s crimes but I like this channel not getting involved in the politics of such characters. Just let the shows speak for themselves.
Garry Allen
2025-09-22 17:20:25 +0000 UTCUs reacting to, and laughing at someone does not equal us condoning something the person did. If we start doing that there won't be anything left to react to
RegenerationNationTV
2025-09-22 17:14:26 +0000 UTCYou'll get a lot of messages about this guy, no blame on you though, you aren't likely to know what a monster he was.
Robert McMillan
2025-09-22 17:13:29 +0000 UTCYou should have probably skipped this one. He sexually assaulted so may women before he died
