2025-08-15 22:31:54 +0000 UTCTrue story - I once helped run a charity auction, where the top item was a pair of Simon Neil’s stage worn trousers. An incredible night.

2025-08-03 09:28:43 +0000 UTCClassic, but it took me back to T in the Park more than anything. Went to my first in 2003, which Biffy were at.

2025-08-03 09:22:32 +0000 UTCGood song. I’ve heard this before but always thought it was Snow Patrol.

2025-08-03 08:49:53 +0000 UTCI went to a pub in Ayrshire (I'm from Newcastle) and the jukebox only had Biffy on, you literally couldn't choose any other band :D

2025-08-03 08:35:21 +0000 UTCWhether you react to them or not, here are some of my top picks you'd maybe like from Biffy. Justboy, 57, All the way down, Black Chandelier, Living is a problem because everything dies, Bubbles, Re-arrange, Friends and Enemies. Most are singles, but they have so many songs. For a 3 piece band they're so loud live and always finish the show with a firework display behind them (when outside obv). One of my favourite bands. Simon Neil, the lead singer is the most down to earth person ever too, the whole band are tbh.

2025-08-03 08:34:29 +0000 UTCGreat song. Glad you enjoyed it.

2025-08-03 05:52:05 +0000 UTCThey're from the same place as me in Scotland. I love that we're making a connection between Ayrshire and Florida via the internet. A beautiful thing.

2025-08-02 23:11:36 +0000 UTCWow, how did I forget this song existed? I used to love it. It's going straight back on my playlist.

2025-08-02 23:03:21 +0000 UTCI forgot this song even existed! They have some great songs.

2025-08-02 22:51:21 +0000 UTCClicked hoping to see Teenage Fanclub, was not disappointed.

2025-08-02 22:50:18 +0000 UTCMan, I love this band. They really do everything. You could put on a playlist of just their official single releases to see their different sides, but then you can dive into their albums and find that every song is awesome too. They are consistently good and still come up with something fresh and unique. Please do more!!!

2025-08-02 22:43:25 +0000 UTCI made a YouTube playlist of Scottish bands a while back, some well known (to Brit's, at least) but a lot of them less so. The studio version of this is on there as well as a live version of Mountains. Here's the link: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLEg2_OxNY9e2jZ85RnZmAVVYZzLThcSm8&si=ZqVLGF2SmlQm8c3H

2025-08-02 22:21:54 +0000 UTCBiffy Clyro are phenomenal seen them live so many times! Really funny how they got their name too, they used to joke about merch ideas for Cliff Richard. They said he could sell biro pens called Cliffy Biros. Became a joke between them and ended up using it as inspiration for their band name flipping it to Biffy Clyro
Michael
2025-08-02 22:18:02 +0000 UTCUnderrated band outside of the Uk. There heavier stuff is better, I love hunger in your haunt and unknown male 01. Bubbles is probably perfect for you to check. Space is a beautiful song they did recently as well. Seeing them for a 4th time in Manchester next year
Chris
2025-08-02 22:18:01 +0000 UTCBrill reaction u 2!! not many reactors will have that golden nugget down!! and shout to who suggested that... Cant wait till you see Gerry!
Paul
2025-08-02 21:31:24 +0000 UTCBoring fact. but this song was used for the winner of X Factor, which is like American Idol. They won the show and then released a cover of this but called it 'When we collide'

2025-08-02 20:34:34 +0000 UTCI'm a rock guitarist with randomly placed tattoos and I'm nowhere near a Simon Neil (the singer). He's honestly one of the nicest, smartest, wittiest people ever. The whole band are. But yeah, I think Simon knows chicks dig him, but that's not why they get topless all the time, I think it's just a Scottish thing. One of my favourite gifts I ever got was a T shirt that just had in massive letters BIFFY FUCKING CLYRO. Which they say a alot. I'd love it if you reacted to more of their stuff. And I'm rewinding the video to watch again. My best friend and other guitarist has a Biffy tattoo and actually looks like him. I've been to see Biffy about 10 times, from when I was 16/17, I'm now 39 and seen them again recently. They are crazy good. They've grinded their way to the top.
Karlos
2025-08-02 20:10:54 +0000 UTCThey can be quite heavy, this song is pretty much the exception for them. I'd probably recommend 'Bubbles' for their next song.
Coleyman
2025-08-02 19:44:18 +0000 UTCBiffy are unreal, must listens are black chandelier and bubbles
Chris Harding
2025-08-02 19:42:29 +0000 UTCThey are so underrated. Really good live band.
Ian black
2025-08-02 19:42:06 +0000 UTCI've just checked the rest of an early album out, they were always rock, just that one song that hooked me was different and that was more the video

2025-08-02 19:37:33 +0000 UTCHaving listened to this particular live version of the song over and over, it is one of the best live performances I have witnessed in the flesh. I am not much of a fan of Biffy Clyro and thier newer stuff but this is iconic.

2025-08-02 19:34:41 +0000 UTCI went to T in the Park twice, I think it was 2004 and 2005. I saw David Bowie in concert in 2003 and he announced that he would play T in the park the following year, which was a big deal. I immediately bought tickets. Unfortunately Bowie had a heart attack and had to cancel.
Julian
2025-08-02 19:31:55 +0000 UTCI saw them do an acoustic set as the surprise support for Sunny Day Real Estate in London about fifteen years ago. I was never much of a fan but it was sort of cool seeing them in that environment considering they'd had a few top ten singles by this point.
Charlie
2025-08-02 19:29:04 +0000 UTCThey've had a few whoppers
Christian Rolfe
2025-08-02 19:26:54 +0000 UTCHmm, they were alright but definitely not worth the attentions of M&J.

2025-08-02 19:22:57 +0000 UTCGreat song. The crowd to me seemed fairly tame for a Scottish audience? I've only been to one gig in Scotland, but the crowd was WILD!

2025-08-02 19:20:15 +0000 UTCBiffy are fantastic. Awesome live as well.

2025-08-02 19:19:27 +0000 UTCWhen I first heard them they were more an indie band, they got famous doing the rock thing and they've stuck with it.
Christian Rolfe
2025-08-02 19:14:36 +0000 UTCSerious tune
