Hope once they deal with the Wights the wall just crumbles and falls. Be funny to have the Night's Watch lose its reason for existing once the threat is dealt with and then lose it's walls as well. Be a good time to get rid of the punishment of being sent to the wall for crimes. Can finally put scum to death properly instead of giving them a get out of hell free card with the Night's Watch. With any luck the wall coming down would allow the areas south of it to become far warmer and be more like The Reach. As I'm sure having a giant wall of ice dropped the temperature there a massive amount compared to how it would be without all that ice there.
