The Night Has Almost Ended!

Dear friends,

I am currently situating myself in my new apartment, a full thousand miles away from where I was. It's kind of been a madcap week!

However, thanks entirely to your enthusiasm, I found the energy to pound out a short chapter in the margins of the day! You guys rock. Seriously, without knowing I have people who enjoy what I write, I'd struggle to find the week-by-week motivation.

There's no charge for Patrons, since it's short and largely set-up. However, it does set up the story for lots of fun stuff to happen in the next chapter.

Which I'll be working on as I have time! I'll have it up as soon as I'm able.

Read it in the unsexy .txt files, or wait to read it tomorrow on the EMSCA!

Hey! I'm currently editing the chapters I have so far. Each week, as I finish editing them, I'll post a consolidated PDF here. I'll do my best to get them all out quickly!

Could you compile the original draft into one PDF and post it here?

Right! So it looks like we'll be moving on to an overweight dead-end adult nephew, or some-such silliness! Better for everyone!

I understand your reasoning, but for legal reasons...Simon has to keep his site clear of anything even suggestive of 'under age'. I had a similar problem years ago, with an X-man story I wrote. Even if nonsexual in nature, the characters involved have to be of legal age. Here in the states that means 18, but you can kinda get away with 16 if you're careful. My own (Burke Rakers) stories don't usually involve 'sex', but focus on physical and mental transformation and the after effects of those changes. Even so, I need to be careful. Simon just wants to keep his site out of legal trouble.

I was wondering why your information had disappeared from the EMSCA. If I may make an observation about the character we've known as Berkleton...I'd like to suggest that he may have been one of the first victims of the device. I've been assuming that he was someone else earlier (I was assuming his boss or a rival in his department) and that he turned him into 'Burkelton' as a way of testing his device. I haven't been thinking of him as a child...because I was assuming he'd turn out to have been someone else the whole time. BTW, this story has been great fun sofar.

Hey guys! Some mild excitement today -- the EMSCA site moderator removed my author profile, saying the Berkleton character was too young to include. (D'oh!) Obviously, I never intended for the character to ever become involved beyond being a character contrast (and spokesman for my amazing readers), but if there was any doubt, then the fault's mine! If the moderator accepts my edits, we'll be back up soon! And if not, we'll be moving on to greener site-pastures! Best! Barker
