It might not be a show that caters to everyone taste as you say, but believe me, I have never met a fellow Scot who does not love the show. It has a huge grasp on Scottish culture, quite often you can't get through a conversation without someone quoting it

2025-05-28 20:10:56 +0000 UTCIt's great that you like it, but I also think it's nice having a show that has hints of something real. Rather than just comedy in your face all the time. It's a nice blend. What's interesting is I think a lot don't relate to it because they're Scottish and playing old characters. Obviously to us Scots it was one of the biggest shows on TV and their live shows were massive. But to the rest of the UK the early seasons didn't even air outside of Scotland. So for you to take to it so well, kind of shits all over that theory.
