The Inbetweeners - S2E5 'The Duke of Edinburgh Awards'

Comments

Just on the room you were asking about, we used to have one in High School for use by the Seniors only, Yr 11 and 12. It was called a 'Common Room' and we had it decked out with bean bags, wooden cubes to sit on, had tea/coffee maker, fridge, microwave, TV. Was just a big private chill space for the Seniors. Teachers not allowed to just walk in, they had to knock at the door and ask for who they wanted to speak to. Suffice to say we got away with a lot in that room, smoking up the back corner and blowing it out the window, even the odd spliff was lit up in there.

Bobski

Rentaghost ?

Imogen

damn that was a banger show. +1 to watch misfits!

James

Expedite.

Matthew

I would love you guys to react to a uk show called misfits would be so awesome

Jake Hines

Still laugh so much at this even though I’ve watched it a dozen times

Peter Larter

W request

Peter Larter

If really wanting to explore the comedy of the UK...like the particular place where I come from...so recommend This Country. Not sure it'll translate for the US, to be honest, but worth a try. New here, finding my feet...

Karl Devereux

Loved our common room. Had fun there and plenty of time to enjoy it when you didn't have a class

Nadean Simmons

Called at 'Common Room' I had a cool one at my sixth form, pool tables etc etc

Matt Bentley

Can I suggest FRIDAY NIGHT DINNER. You guys will love it

Imogen

The four of them are brill actors with the facial expression, it was probably their 1st acting jobs and they nailed it :)

Darren Purves

Are you going to post one today IV been looking forward to it all week

Fred bates

You need to correct the title to S2E5.

Chicken Nugget

Its a common room at 6th form we had a cool one, pool tables, sofas...

Matt Bentley

A 'Merkin' is a pubic wig ...and not just short for an American

emu cat

Was just watching an Inbetweeners behind the scenes and only now realised that the guy playing the son at the end who shakes Jay's hand is actually one of the Producers on the show

Mark McKeown

You guys need to watch cuckoo

ColdStarr

The room they hang out in is the common room, it’s for older teenagers at the school at sixth form.

Kayleigh

Another vote for Taskmaster. You'll love it as you can try some of the tasks at home with family and friends.

trev

Hey, old ladies deserve love too, Jess.😂 Bet that made her day. "Still got it!"

trev

This is episode 5, not 4. You already did 4, it was the night out in London :)

Jamie Derry

Im so excited for you to watch the films

Lauren Massey

I think 'Man Down' is Greg's best thing. ..You really need to react to that show, it's brilliant 🤣🤣

Martyn Dawson

Man down is better imo

Adam Theaker

Well Greg Davies is the Taskmaster. A brilliant show you should definitely check out. He’s great as the Taskmaster, it’s like he’s Mr Gilbert again

Sam Dilks

Yes the similarity is there, but who the eff is going to want to watch a biopic of Baddiel?

Fordy7169

Absolute banger that song

Ash C

I watched a podcast this week in which David Baddiel said he would like Simon Bird to play him if a film was ever made of his life. Can’t think of a better choice.

Thomas

If you like Greg should really watch cuckoo I think it’s on a bbc channel in uk that’s great I’d definitely watch you watch that

Russell Elliott

Honestly every episode going forward is an absolute banger (not that that should be surprising).

Mark McKeown

I concur

Mark

So you're calling Bowie a complete 'wanker'. Keith Richards might agree with you.

Fordy7169

Probably the series 'Man Down' where he plays a loser teacher, the opposite of Mr Gilbert.

Fordy7169

That reaction was the best, i'd like to shake your hands.

emu cat

I’d loooove you to watch the movies & also the series “Friday night dinner” !! That’s Simon bird’s(will) show!

Jaimie-Lea Livingstone

In our school years 7-11 could use it aswell. We could buy toast and cans of pop and play pool or ping pong

Mark Rudd

I’m looking forward to the gig one, and Simon having a girlfriend.

Scott

The fashion show is going to kill mike & Jess for sure.... 🤣 The movies are a definite too keep up the good work guys..

Tony Bremner

Best thing gregg ever did??? You guys would love taskmaster.

Jay Lo

🤝

TheHigh

Fantastic reaction guys

Daz Parker

This episode was peak Inbetweeners. The set ups were so on point. Brilliant writing

Dave Henshall

Without a doubt

Kieran B

You guys definitely need to watch the movie as well

Sam Cox

You guys are going to LOVE ❤️ the inbetweeners movies aswell 👍 but in the 90s early 2000s This is quite an accurate show of what school was like 😅🤣🤣🤣🤣

Alan

They call the room 'The common room' in the UK. It's only for the 6th form to use not the whole school. 6th form is between 16 to 18 and they do A level exams to try and get into a university if that's what they choose to do. It's just a chill out room for them. Most school 6th formers don't have to wear school uniform but are expected to dress smart.

AngieG

We really are a nation of wankers. Even David Bowie was at it… “Time, he flexes like a whore, falls wanking to the floor..” (a line from Time on the Aladdin Sane album).

Thomas

This reaction was absolutely class. It had all the cringe and laughter it deserved. Thanks guys, as always, you put me in such a great mood to start the day off :)

Brucey Mitchell (Cheeky)

Have you seen Man Down? That is a class series.

Brucey Mitchell (Cheeky)

If you're not having a bacon butty on a Sunday morning you're not doing it right!

Jára Zimmerman

Martin Trenaman, who plays Simon’s dad, appeared on Top Of The Pops with one of my favourite band’s The Jam when they performed Eton Rifles in 1979. There are four blokes in red army tunics allegedly doing backing vocals, and a very young Martin is second on the left. He was also best mates with the late, great Sean Lock, who I hope we will see at some point on this channel. Martin is also a comedian and comedy writer.

Thomas

They love that "dead hand" scene so much; just wait till they see the "ham" scene in the movie!!

Moody Marco

So ridiculously funny, proper cringe fest

Christian Rolfe

Same!

Moody Marco

Oh boy, here we go! Got my Sunday morning tea and toast made, pressing "play" now...

Moody Marco

I wanted to leave this comment before seeing your reaction. I have been looking forward to this one and I have a feeling you both may be in need of emergency oxygen by the end.

Michael K

I have a feeling you guys are gonna love the inbetweeners movie

Ryan TB

Kettle on, love Sunday morning giggles :) and Play......

Brucey Mitchell (Cheeky)

Got up at 7am on a Sunday to watch two Americans watch someone wanking. Not sure what I'm doing with my life if I'm honest.

Alan

I think you missed Neil’s last line: “is Prince Charles cross with us, sir?”

Kieran B

Greg Davies had his own comedy series call Man Down you should check it out it is very funny.

Daz

Common room, we had one in year 11 at school and at sixth form

david mitchell

🤝🤣

Thomas

That room is the Sixth Form Common Room just for those in the last two years (17-18) and at this point Sixth Form was optional, many if not most left at 16. We had a N64 in ours but can’t remember if we had a pool table, it wasn’t quite as big and spacious as their room.

Kieran B

I don’t know if it’s his best thing (Greg Davies), he’s one of the best WILTY guests - probably the best one to check out after Bob for yourselves - his stand up is great and of course there’s the institution that is Taskmaster which he hosts. It’s definitely up there though.

Kieran B

7am upload on a Sunday what a treat ☺️

Sam Cox

Just finished a night shift on the way home.. I can't wait to see your reaction to this one 🤣 🤣

Dave Stolly007

Ah here I am up very early, having a scroll through not really interested in anything popping up on my feed, then suddenly this pops up. Thanks Jess and Mike I’ll watch it when having breakfast
