I have a feeling that renly promised to give someone Margaery for a night in return for the sword, and that she's going to find out at some point. She has to switch sides to Axel for a good reason, right? :3

2025-06-21 00:12:36 +0000 UTCDid the Mad King have a Valyrian Steel blade or two lying around in a cache that was just as conveniently "forgotten about" as the Wildfire ones? A cache someone like Varys would know about? The deflections from Renly about the sword's origins make think its either a re-hilted Targaryen blade or someone from the Iron Bank thinking Renly is a far better choice for King because he'd be tricked into costly loans far easier than Stannis or even Axel.
