Missing the point Ricky...live music ain't about best versions...about how makes folks feel. The folks here seemed very happy.

Karl Devereux

Terrible version , listen to (half the world away, live at Fuji Rock festival)

Ricky

Cant wait to see them live this year

michael patch

It’s a shame Noel is a wanker

James Edmonds

Great song great singer definitely the most talented and liked one of the two, liam is like marmite!

Theloyalmuppet

Oasis was my generation, they defined growing up in the 90’s, I have 5 oasis tattoos, both my kids are named after the brothers and I’m finally getting to see them in July, I cannot wait, there may be tears

Chris Harding

Blur, Radiohead, Suede. Never Oasis.

Martyn Dawson

How old are you? I was like 9 when “maybe” wonder wall came out. They were the first band I’d latched on to haha. Heard it all. But fell for oasis. Was gutted when they fell apart

Mark Rudd

If these two utter A-holes didn’t hate each other so much, then we would still have one of the best groups about to date. But Brutus fall out. These two are stupid. I love them! I was 9 when they came out and got big (wonder wall, maybe ). I was obsessed. Still get upset. Ty he amount of times they were gonna get back together and never did was gutting. They are back together this year. But I don’t think it will hit as hard. Both hard up for cash. Not back together for the life of music. But as an oasis fan, I don’t care. Just glad to see them back together ! UK was robbed when we lost these

Mark Rudd

This is bitter sweet. So glad you reacted to oasis but oasis is Liam and noel. Don't look back in anger is just noel. Noel wrote 95% of the oasis songs but Liam sings 95% of them. Slide away or live forever played live I'd recommend.

Neil

Now react to the wurzels version 😂

Adam Theaker

You should react to Radiohead - Creep live

Moody Marco

I’m not an Oasis fan but I like a few of their songs. Definitely Maybe was a good album. What’s The Story was OK, and I bought it simply because my hero (and Noel’s), Paul Weller, played guitar on Champagne Supernova. It think they were done by album No.3, but appreciate that this is probably a minority opinion. Britpop was about lyrics as much as music, but Oasis just turned out word salads backed by some decent melodies.

Thomas

Oasis were the band of my youth. NG was, at the time, the man for me. I can safely say that that performance still knocks my socks off. And even having seen hundreds, maybe thousands of hours of Noel footage - I’ve never seen him look like that. It’s the saddest/happiest I’ve ever seen him. And you’re right Jess - his voice is indeed beautiful.

Derek Fleming

I've added the doc Oasis - 'Return To Rockfield' , to the education playlist .

Andy

Noel wrote the songs not Liam, this is Noel singing, Liam his brother is the main singer of Oasis.

JokerDanny

Reaction to Oasis 'Live Forever' Live @ Maine Road 1996 would be amazing guys, emotions!!

Gerard McCartan

What you two seem to do is make it okay for the rest of us to well up at stuff that we'd hitherto thought it a bit silly if we did, Thank you (if that makes sense). x

Static CentreHalf

Blur's Song 2 was meant to be a bit of a parody towards the American bands of the time. The irony being it became massively popular.

Andy

The most exciting band in my lifetime, and they are back! Sold out their American dates aswell as the rest of the world!! Oasis b-sides make most top bands a-sides look average lol

Gerard McCartan

"John's got brewers droop he gets intimidated by the dirty pigeons... They laaaarv a bit of it!" ;)

BlakeK80DrumCovers

It’s not even an English speaking audience. Spanish speakers are pretty good at English, but it’s still impressive.

Julian T

Love oasis. You guys should listen to live forever by them, although so many good songs

Jay Lo

Wow had never heard that version unreal

Paul

I'll meet you in the car park

White Dwarf

You poor thing.

Clem Fandango

Noel at his best here!!

Chris Kay

Suede were the kings of Brit-pop and I'm willing to fight anyone who argues otherwise

Sean Riley

This is Britpop. America pretty much snubbed Britpop, so Mike and Jess, you could dive into a deep rabbit hole and find loads of music I’m sure you will both love. I am especially thinking about Jess, who obviously loves 90s guitar music, which is the staple of the genre. Britpop peaked in the mid-90s, right when grunge and alternative rock dominated the American scene. Bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Soundgarden were huge, and their raw, introspective sound felt more relatable to American youth than Britpop’s often cheekier, more ironic vibe. Blur’s Parklife show’s a different, fun side to Britpop. Hopefully, it will show up in a poll soon.

Thomas

I loved Oasis growing up, but this song especially had some real emotive connection for me and most of my friends. Sung here by Noel, its one of the best versions of it.

Liam Christie

There really is something special about live music, I’ve done a few radio concerts, where you get to see a bunch of different acts in a day/weekend. And it doesn’t even matter if it’s an act that you don’t particularly like, it’s still great to see artists/bands live. (Even if you are the wettest human being ever lived as I was back in September ☔️)

ryan rysdale

Loved this

Shane Doolan

Great reaction guys you were like 2 kids seeing Christmas lights for the first time, you do need to check out more oasis as they have a lot of great tracks

Mark Sanders

Liam Gallagher, not his brother Noel who sang here, is the main Oasis vocalist. In the 90s, at the height of Britpop, he had an ongoing feud with Robbie Williams, and challenged him to a fight. Liam’s a pretty boy wimp with a big mouth. Robbie responded at the Brit Awards with “Liam, a hundred grand of your money and a hundred grand of my money, we'll get in the ring, we'll have a fight and you can all watch it on TV.” Needless to say, it never happened. Robbie and Liam were later pictured kissing each other!

Thomas

So glad you did this version, I was one of the guilty ones asking you to do this one. Just for info, the line "Gonna start a revolution from my bed" was a tribute to John Lennon who in the 70s did a protest for peace in his bed.

Neil

First saw them live in 97 at the G-Mex Manchester a week after my 16th birthday. Unforgettable. It was filmed and played live on MTV (which I didn't know about til about 5 years ago) If you watch it on YouTube I'm the guy on my mates shoulders in the blue and red coat, clapping and waving my arms like an idiot 🤣

White Dwarf

From a non fan, yeah, it was alright :) Great reaction as always, love seeing your raw emotions with these live performances, so genuine.

Brucey Mitchell (Cheeky)

This song became very important in bringing our nation together in the immediate aftermath of a terrorist attack which claimed the lives of 22 innocent people as they left an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester in May 2017. A vigil was being held city centre a day or two later, when one woman started to sing Don’t Look Back In Anger. English people are very reserved and it took until the chorus for the crowd to join her in song. Oasis, of course, are a Manchester band. Lyrically, the song says very little, yet in that moment its seemed to say everything. That summer, it was sung seemingly every time a major crowd gathered at football and rugby grounds, and in particular at a special concert in honour of those who lost the lives at Old Trafford Cricket Ground, Manchester. Chris Martin, of Coldplay, sang it with Ariana Grande. Robbie Williams, incidentally, performed Angels at the concert, which was titled One Love Manchester. Watch this, it will make you cry. It’s Noel (not Liam) who wrote and performed the song, talking about that moment in Manchester. https://youtu.be/K9SzicGVPTc?si=dekbYHaz5OtxFlcT

Thomas

I'm going to see Oasis at Wembley on the 3rd of August. Can't wait.

Paul

Go to karaoke song.

Jon

It amazed me that they were able to capture so much of the early days on camera. Perfect behind the scenes insight into the rise of Oasis, and the lead up to the ultimate 'we've made it' Knebworth concert.

Bobby K

yep Shampagne Supernova is great guys! and this argentinian live version of don't look back' is a prime example of their global influence! Theres a small band called Def leppard yall shud check out...once ya done with the queen rubbish =P

Industrialist2015ofUk

Wait until you see AC/DC in River Plate.

Terrahawk

To know the story of oasis the best thing to watch is definitely the documentary ’supersonic’ it’s an amazing story even for a non fan.

Andy O'Sullivan

What you didn’t pick up on is this is in Argentina, they’re singing every single word of this song not in their first language but in English. Noel has also said it blows his mind when a crowd reacts like this singing their songs back to him, he gets so emotional.

GeeBee

Best thing about Oasis is they can do this slow emotional stuff... Next song they can blow the roof off a venue... not necessary because they mainly operate in stadiums haha :)

Archie East

It gets me emotional every time I watch this.
