From a military point of view, Axel should have definitely gone out to skirmish against renly's forces. From a political point of view, not acting like a bandit while being a 'lowborn' king was probably the right move. Even if skirmishing is the most fun form of warfare, and Axel is perfect for it. 😔

2025-06-14 14:46:16 +0000 UTCI see where you’re going with Axel’s character building. For all he’s accomplished so far, he’s unsure of himself when in new ground. He never once thought he’d be a king, and he doesn’t know what to do. But I hope he realizes that he has to actively shape his own destiny, build his world, and realize that he can’t control people’s fear, only his own, and that decisions made in fear are doomed to catastrophe.

2025-06-13 23:46:32 +0000 UTCI’m curious, how quickly would an army route against a single INVINCIBLE (title card) man? I’d assume it would have to be after the corpse pile has grown large enough that everyone can actually see him and realize their numbers mean literally nothing before they get pushed into being part of said corpse pile.
