I know RNTV already saw it, but this is a great idea, gets my vote too.

2025-03-13 20:29:52 +0000 UTCYou know it's sometimes a bit spooky how actively you monitor these messages. But fair play, haha
Andy
2025-03-13 19:41:59 +0000 UTCWe'll give it a go for next week's polls
RegenerationNationTV
2025-03-13 19:09:21 +0000 UTCYou know what? This isn't a bad idea. Kind of like winner stays on at the pub's pool table - but in this case it's runner up. It was obviously somewhat popular, give it another shot. It would mean randomly selecting 4, plus last week's runner up and I can't think of a reason why this isn't a good thing.
Andy
2025-03-13 19:08:06 +0000 UTCIs that the thrust of your new agency deal too?
Eddy
2025-03-13 13:50:19 +0000 UTCSomething on Bamber Bridge would be great for Mike and Jess to see.
Eddy
2025-03-13 13:47:04 +0000 UTCA welcome to Britain is more jokey, I like the pub scene in it though and the differences how black people are treated
Danny
2025-03-13 13:41:13 +0000 UTCWhile there is nothing official saying that we only react to things from the UK that is definitely how things have gone. If you look at our YouTube channel it is primarily UK based content for nearly the past year.
RegenerationNationTV
2025-03-13 11:19:07 +0000 UTCSeriously Eddy? This channel is about Britain? Or this educational section? Could Mike and Jess clearify, please?
Frank
2025-03-13 08:37:03 +0000 UTCI agree
Kieran B
2025-03-13 08:00:33 +0000 UTCI thought that was the idea or am I missing something?
Eddy
2025-03-13 01:50:36 +0000 UTCI don't remember it too well, but I think I found it a little too quaint, maybe, whereas Know Your Ally - apart from the constant references to Britain being a sardine can (when the UK population was around 20 million, so heaven knows what they'd have made of its near 70 million these days!). - seemed more serious and historically informative.
Eddy
2025-03-13 01:48:56 +0000 UTCTrue, they have a rich colonial history.
Frank
2025-03-13 01:47:20 +0000 UTCGood to see any of the others, except the awful dirge that is "God Save The Queen/King" winning. I'm not keen on Jerusalem either.
Darryl Glynn
2025-03-13 01:42:50 +0000 UTCI like the Burgess Meredith one - A Welcome to Britain. I don't think it is allowed on YouTube in full though as a reaction
Danny
2025-03-13 01:29:59 +0000 UTCThe British know a thing or two about taking over 😅
Danny
2025-03-13 01:27:26 +0000 UTCI wonder if it would be worth rolling over the second most popular choice to the next poll each time? It wouldn't necessarily win or even come second next time around, but if it's genuinely popular at least it wouldn't disappear back into the vast pool that is the playlist.
Eddy
2025-03-12 23:15:41 +0000 UTCI voted for Fred, but I'd like to add that "Know your Ally" is also a great watch.
Craig Humphries
2025-03-12 22:14:06 +0000 UTCThey do, Hacienda is been in a couple times. Might have even been last week.
Andy
2025-03-12 22:10:51 +0000 UTCOnly British videos again. This is turning into something of a British fan channel
Frank
2025-03-12 20:26:51 +0000 UTCAm I right in saying all the non-poll winners go back in the pot for future votes? If so stuff like The Hacienda Doc. and Know Your Ally will have a good chance down the line. Dibnah is an old-school legend though so needs to be learnt about by our Transatlantic fwends.
Fordy7169
2025-03-12 19:39:34 +0000 UTCHe does have plenty other videos but that is the one everyone starts with since it's the most popular
Danny
2025-03-12 18:26:03 +0000 UTCFred Dibnah has a big following. That is the introduction video people usually use for him. It was his first TV appearance too, so its fitting
Danny
2025-03-12 18:22:17 +0000 UTCDibnah? Not again....
Jason Bonner
2025-03-12 17:59:25 +0000 UTCNever watched him seen clips but al give it a go!
Theloyalmuppet
2025-03-12 17:55:47 +0000 UTCFred Dibnah was from Bolton, like Peter Kay, so Jess and Mike shouldn’t have problems with his strong accent.

2025-03-12 17:11:09 +0000 UTCSame here regarding Dibnah. I won't be watching again!
Eddy
2025-03-12 16:50:40 +0000 UTCHacienda is going to lose again unfortunately, Fred Dibnah will always win in these things.
Terrahawk
2025-03-12 16:50:08 +0000 UTCIt's interesting, but Know Your Ally is both fascinating and moving in the way that the Jeremy Clarkson documentaries on the VC and the commandoes raid were, so gets my vote.
Eddy
2025-03-12 16:49:50 +0000 UTCKnow Your Ally is absolutely fascinating and would be the most educational video here for Mike and Jess. Even as someone who spends much of his spare time studying history, it managed to teach me quite a lot about the British effort in WW2. It's particularly fascinating because it was produced in 1942-43 by the US Government as a means of teaching the ignorant US soldiers about to embark for Great Britain just how much the British people had already done in the fight against the Nazis and is genuinely moving as a result.

2025-03-12 16:28:39 +0000 UTCHas to be dibnah. What an absolute legend.
Ian black
2025-03-12 16:21:06 +0000 UTCDecent selection. I voted for the Hacienda as it means more to me personally than any of the others. Dibnah will win. He was a great character, but I’ve lost count on how many times I’ve seen this film.
