As future King of the Hellfire Club, having a positive relationship with every other major organization would be good in the long run. Whether he wants to build those relationships now or later is up to him.

2025-06-08 21:39:18 +0000 UTCShe-Hulk gives him an in to the Avengers. Sue for the Fantastic Four. Absent the Avengers and the Fantastic Four, why is SHIELD a priority for him? Delving into the Brotherhood or Xmen would be more valuable, IMO. Selene is still pretty much off the government radar, as far as we know. Maybe she's going to be a doorway to the Inhumans, maybe even Ghost Rider or other teams that could add esoteric or soul-based power, but I don't really see the need to spread himself even more thin by interacting with every organization in Marvel. Even if there is a tie between soul and mind, meaning a burning soul would make your mind immune/self-destructive to psychic vampirism. On that note, I haven't seen a version where Ghost Widow becomes a thing. Not sure if you'd want to go that direction, bun in the oven and all that, but it could be an eventual reason to justify this direction. Not sure if Zarathos could be passed to a woman anyway and wouldn't just pick Thad if that is the result of going for SHIELD now.
