This Week’s Updates – No Votes for Two Slots & PO Box Info!
Added 2025-02-04 16:00:11 +0000 UTC👍🏻Patreon Friends!👍🏻
A couple of quick updates for this week:
📚 No Vote for Educational This Week
We’ll be reacting to The Greatest Raid for our educational slot, so there won’t be a vote for this category this time around.
🎤 No Vote for Panel/Talk Shows (For Now)
We need to finish out our Bob Mortimer series before moving on to anything else. This category currently has the shortest playlist, so this will also give time for more suggestions to roll in before we start voting again.
📦 PO Box Questions Answered!
We've had some questions about sizing—
👕 T-Shirts: Large
🧥 Sweatshirts: X-Large
We’ll be doing our first PO box unboxing stream as soon as we have enough items to make it a fun one. We’ll keep you posted on when that will be, but we’re already looking forward to it!
Thanks again for being part of this amazing community. Let us know if you have any other questions!

I have to assume you are not really Super Hans, my favourite character from Peep Show, but it would seem appropriate to swear if you were, if it weren't for Mike and Jess being far to nice to swear in front of. I am taking every opportunity to big up Peep Show, my favourite comedy of the past 20-30 years. It does indeed take a while to warm up, but Series 1 is available in NTSC on Amazon.com (assuming they have a DVD player), unlike subsequent ones, I think.

2025-02-05 22:49:55 +0000 UTCI would make a suggestion for Peep Show. Obviously. Granted, first seasons isnt that great. But later on I am in it more so you know, unquestionable.

2025-02-04 23:12:57 +0000 UTCThanks, Brucey! I joined a bit late or maybe had other things to attend to when they mentioned that. It's going to be fun.

2025-02-04 19:40:44 +0000 UTCThey are of course, referring to WILTY, this was discussed on the live stream the other day.

2025-02-04 19:37:25 +0000 UTCI'm already 62 and wise enough to the world, Duncan, but good of an evident guru of life and Patreon such as yourself to suggest I will calm down with my ideas at some point 🤪. I am sure I'll be able to when I die. I will certainly have very little time to post once I am well enough to work again, after 6 years of serious illness and the last 2 years unable to earn a living, but thanks for your not-the-least-patronising consideration for my welfare 😉. I just enjoy posting information that I believe Mike and Jess might appreciate, irrespective of whether it is read by them or better still reacted to. I am sure they do their best, you know. Why so cynical about their efforts?

2025-02-04 19:24:10 +0000 UTCI see Eddy is fresh to patreon, only joining in July of 2024,he will soon calm down with his ideas and requests, once he realizes that it could very easily take 4 or 5 years for a show he likes,to even win a poll on these channels and get a reaction of it

2025-02-04 19:17:08 +0000 UTCPS Just re-reading your reply, I only suggested "it would be a terrible shame IF you react..." (conditional tense), ie I didn't leap to any conclusions, haha!

2025-02-04 19:15:04 +0000 UTCI agree that reacting to TaskMaster is probably too soon. Looking at the playlist, I see that all the WILTY Bob Mortimers I and others added have disappeared, while the TaskMaster best of is still there, which hopefully is a good sign they have not looked at the latter yet. I know from Mike's response to comments by me and others that it is on their radar anyway, and that he is aware it might be best to watch it in series form, since most clips lack context and often even the reaction of Greg and Alex in the theatre, which is ridiculous, since much of the fun derives from that. I agree that te potato clip would be a god taster of what to expect from Taskmaster and might whet their appetite, plus as mentioned previously is a full task. Asking me to chill is a forlorn request though, given I am about as intense and obsessive as it is possible to get; I wish I could! ;-)
Eddy
2025-02-04 19:10:58 +0000 UTCEddy you need to chill bro haha. I think already committing to 3 shows is enough, a fourth just takes up another slot that could be otherwise used to vary between shows, that's my 2c anyway. Also, I'm only seeing them refer to finishing up the 'Bob Mortimer series', it doesn't indicate this is about Taskmaster or his appearance on there so not sure why you've leapt to that conclusion unless I've missed something. For what it's worth I submitted the potato clip the other week, so I too hope it appears :)

2025-02-04 18:56:18 +0000 UTCI might just drop dead from exhaustion if yet another Ricky Gervais show goes to the top of Mike and Jess's reactions! There is so much better, smarter, less cruel and mocking comedy out there that they are unaware of. I look forward to trying out Still Game though! That's the great thing about Mike and Jess: I can watch something for the umpteenth time that was stale to me and see it through new eyes.

2025-02-04 18:19:02 +0000 UTCHi loveing the channel great to see still game getting a viewing 👌im scottish so know it word for word but watching it back for prob the 1000 time with you both it's even better 😂 may I suggest afterlife with ricky Gervais really funny and extreamly touching but overall it's a fantastic show 😀

2025-02-04 17:38:21 +0000 UTCTo give a little background to the second series' comedians: 1. Richard Osman - former TV producer, very quick-witted (almost as fast as WILTY team captain Lee Mack). Unlike many celebs who try to write, he appears to be a genuine talent, with 'We Solve Murders' an internatonal best-seller. Apparently, he once got a 'prank call' asking whether he'd agree to sell the rights to Hollywood from a certain 'Stephen Spielberg' who turned out to be the real thing. 2. Jon Richardson - team captain on '8 Out of 10 Cats' and self-confessed OCD sufferer (if 'sufferer' is the right word). 3. Katherine Ryan - Canadian who has made it big in the UK. 4. Joe Wilkinson - frequent 8 Out of 10 Cats panellist and oddball/weirdo who has been described (and he'd be the first to agree) as not the sort of man you'd leave alone with your children, real-life friend of Katherine Ryan and the sort of man who can make me cry with laughter for no discernible reason. 5. Doc Brown - UK rapper.
Eddy
2025-02-04 17:33:59 +0000 UTCPS I suspect my dismissal of Series 1 might be contentious, but that does depend on personal preference. I happen to find Josh Widdicombe an annoying, squeaky voiced 'wanker', to use Jess' favourite word!
Eddy
2025-02-04 17:18:55 +0000 UTCHi Mike and Jess! I could add endless clips from TaskMaster to the game shows playlist, but, as discussed with others previously, most on YouTube are incomplete and therefore it would be much better for you to watch at least one series. Frankly, Series 1, although reasonable, is not as good as Series 2, so if you think you're likely to respond to just one I'd recommend starting with the second. If you want to get a taste of it, the clip with Joe Wilkinson and the potato is absolutely hilarious vegetable-based comedy that makes 'Carrot in a box' feel like a funeral procession in comparison (okay, I love the latter, so may be exaggerating very slightly) and a complete clip to boot. Personally, I think it would be a terrible shame if you react to Bob Mortimer's 'Best TaskMaster moments', if that spoils the entire series that includes him. Series 2 and Series 5 vie for best series to my mind, with Series 5 having some of my very favourite comedians in Sally Phillips, Bob Mortimer, Aisling Bea, Mark Watson and Nish Kumar, with, of course, the fantastically mean Greg Davies of Inbetwweeners Head Teacher fame as the TaskMaster. The song to a stranger might just be my all-time favourite task of all the series. Please don't assume the lack of clips on the playlist is a sign of lack of popularity. I think if you put one of the series in a poll it would do very well. I must admit to having grown tired of it once it went mainstream and was bought by Channel 4, either because it has run out of the best UK comedians or I am simply a bit jaded by it, its having run to 18 series plus various specials by now!
