Hey friends!
We've been working hard to make Patreon even more interactive and give you more say in the content we create. Here's what's new and what we're working on:
🎉 Patreon Requests & New Playlists We recently opened up the Thursday slot for Patreon requests and created a YouTube playlist where anyone with the link could add their suggestions. The response was incredible—the playlist filled up quickly! Based on your feedback, we’ve now split the playlist into three categories:
1️⃣ Music - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL18AGvPniobNCtMT5PMunrr-vwUYzVK0G&jct=5mbby-jEFTpgIRREcF5w7A
2️⃣ Comedy - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL18AGvPniobOWKkUK57Y3OHNWleS9Sp0R&jct=N-ARYsaOhaitZsFSMrwl_Q
3️⃣ Educational - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL18AGvPniobMfyTalZT7x01kUUAjt6ohg&jct=YAQs_aFeSZI3fBxJu2wbQA
Each week, we’ll randomly select 10-20 items from each playlist and let our Patreon members vote on what we’ll react to for the following week. This means you’ll have more control over what we react to every day of the week!
📅 Current Weekly Schedule
Here’s how things are shaping up:
Monday: Comedy
Tuesday: TV show
Wednesday: Educational
Thursday: Open (We’re looking for ideas!)
Friday: TV show
Saturday: Music
Sunday: TV show
🔄 Thursday Slot Ideas Needed!
While the playlists are now set, we still need to decide what to do with the Thursday slot. Should we dedicate it to something entirely new? A rotating theme? More Patreon requests? We’d love to hear your ideas!
📺 TV Show Selection
When we finish a TV show, we’ll hold a Patreon vote to decide what to watch next. Since some TV shows can’t be added to YouTube playlists, we’ll handle these separately—but rest assured, your input will guide us!
Thank you all for being part of this journey. Your engagement and suggestions make this channel so much better. Let us know your thoughts on the Thursday slot and anything else you’d like to share!
Looking forward to hearing from you!
❤️ Mike and Jess

Oddly, Yvonne, I and a life-long friend who used to love impersonating Basil Fawlty both agreed maybe 20 years ago that Fawlty Towers had aged and suddenly was no longer funny, when we had both it multiple times since watching it as children in the 70s with our families, but I am finding it delightfully funny again, probably because watching Mike and Jess's reactions are refreshing the humour for me. I agree it can become a bit too much of a marathon to watch the entire catalogue of a show such as The Inbetweeners or Peep Show though, so I'd happily watch one series and then see a long break from it, although returning later would also suit me, I'm not a great fan of Only Fools And Horses, Still Game, The Office and Father Ted, for instance, so won't bother watching Jess and Mike's reactions to those, should they come.

2025-01-30 19:31:26 +0000 UTCA long-running series like Taskmaster or Peep Show would get my vote for a Thursday night. Alan Partridge during the first motel series (I can't remember the name) was one of my all-time favourites, but have to admit I find it hard to laugh at anything else before or since.

2025-01-30 19:22:00 +0000 UTCThe Matt Damon, Bill Murray and Hugh Bonneville one was great and I have added it to the talk show playlist. There are simply so many great shows that it doesn't rank as one of my favourites though. The greatest aspect of the show is that it isn't necessarily the biggest stars or even my particular favourites that make the best shows, however, since it is all about the chemistry of the guests, which can mean that lesser known stars with smaller egos sometimes make for the best interactions. Possibly my favourite comedy-wise would be the one with Kevin Hart, Sofia Vergara, Jodie Comer and Alan Cummings, which I have also added under "Kevin Hart Extended Interview", which is both hilarious and heart-warming by common consent.

2025-01-30 19:14:40 +0000 UTCWhat about a weekly slot for the Graham Norton show. There is an unbelievable amount of material from years & years of interviews, many of which are almost unique in the way Graham interacts with his guests. Matt Damon said it was the best talk show he’d ever been on & the episode with him, Bill Murray & Hugh Bonneville was one of the best shows ever. Bill Murray really comes alive in the program. Best wishes as always ❤️

2025-01-29 14:24:05 +0000 UTCSpoke about this on the live, they might be able to for a film once a month. But getting the time to do 1 a week probably won't work right now.

2025-01-29 10:23:06 +0000 UTCPanel show thursday! Would I lie to you?, 8 out of 10 cats does countdown, Taskmaster, etc.

2025-01-29 06:57:17 +0000 UTCYou could do a spin the wheel thursday . Put all ur patreons on the wheel on a Monday winner picks what you react to for thursday. Then take that person off the wheel for a couple of weeks so no one wins twice . Then Thursdays become a suprise genre . Just a thought

2025-01-29 03:38:49 +0000 UTCI actually agree with you on the point that I love the way this channel is going about things and freshening up the content,I think their idea of covering many series by just watching one season of each show at a time,is a refreshing change from watching one show from start to finish for months at a time. For example,I love the idea of watching one season of Fawlty Towers and then moving to one season of Only fools and horses, watching one season of Still Game and then moving to one season of The Office, watching one season of Inbetweeners and then moving to one season of Father Ted,or whatever shows are voted for on the patreon polls, then they can return to previous shows and keep going back and forth with seasons 2 and so on

2025-01-29 02:07:41 +0000 UTCBut it would be boring if they did the same show over and over again with nothing in between. We could all watch Still Game on BBC Iplayer if we wanted to see the series like that. And I'm not a fan of Fawlty Towers. I loved it as a child and I do understand its a classic, but to me (unpopular opinion I know), its aged out now. I think mixing it up a bit is paramount to keeping the channel fresh and not stuck in a loop. Still Game is amazing and the Inbetweeners are shockingly funny, but I personally don't think they need to watch every episode in every series. A few weeks getting to know the shows should be enough. I suppose it just goes to highlight that you really cant please all the people all the time. No disrespect meant. Just sharing my view of the situation.

2025-01-29 01:04:41 +0000 UTCYou seem to enjoy, Kevin Bridges, Sean Lock etc so I think the Panel shows would be a winner for you - Would I Lie to You and/or 8 out of 10 Cat Does Countdown (Countdown is an iconic daytime quiz show , so its a satirical version of that and very funny)

2025-01-29 00:47:23 +0000 UTCHow about a film on a Thursday? So a bit o’ telly, music, comedy, education n complete the ensemble with a film night… bring ya own popcorn! 😋

2025-01-28 18:51:53 +0000 UTCThat’s not a bad idea tbh, Thursdays could be random surprise day 👍

2025-01-28 17:25:58 +0000 UTCNot easy to think of something different for Thursday but I’m sure there won’t be any objections if you fill it with another comedy show, or maybe a comedy panel show like Would I Lie To You.

2025-01-28 16:48:49 +0000 UTCAs you have so much material already on the playlists, why not just alternate between Jess’s pick or Mike’s pick. It could be stuff on this list, or something that touches either one of you from the USA. Sometimes it’s cool for us to learn a bit more about you both. For example, I find your observations about your school days interesting, so pick out a clip from an aspect of American high school life, and discuss it and your own experiences. Patreons will be happy to comment and draw on our own experiences to compare. It could be a guilty music pleasure; play a clip and discuss.

2025-01-28 16:38:34 +0000 UTCOh and Father Ted and the IT Crowd are the other two big ones I think

2025-01-28 16:31:15 +0000 UTCOnly Fools and Horses for the win!
Jurgen Fellows
2025-01-28 16:29:01 +0000 UTCI think from your perspective the best shows to get new patrons would be I'm Alan Partridge, Blackadder, Only Fools and Horses and Peep Show
Richard Stokes
2025-01-28 16:00:06 +0000 UTCYou could have it as a film reaction/music concert reaction alternating slot. Both of those are a bit time consuming for you to create on the downside though

2025-01-28 15:38:37 +0000 UTCWith a little tweak here and a little nudge there, the channel is going from strength to strength. Good work peeps.

2025-01-28 15:12:45 +0000 UTCBe careful not to get too sidetracked, the overwhelming percentage of patreons join these channels for full reactions of their favourite tv shows, any recent and rapid growth on patreon is down to the fact that you are watching The Inbetweeners,Fawlty Towers,Still Game,An Idiot Abroad,The Ricky Gervais Show. The other content is nice filler too and will be viewed because you are such likable people, but that is just content people would normally just wait and watch on youtube a week or so later if you did not have the tv shows running here. It has been 12 days since your last Fawlty towers episode and 7 days since your last Still Game episode,I would be confident that any and all tv show posts are going to get more likes, views and traction on patreon, than the filler content
