2025-01-21 16:15:03 +0000 UTCI remember when this song was literally everywhere... I'd hear it on the way to school, on tv commercials, while watching Twitch and YouTube live streams, at big events, while watching football and basket ball, in stores while shopping, at work, in my dreams, repeat😆🤷♂️... Even after hearing that many times, it somehow still sounds good enough to vibe to, though....

2025-01-20 17:57:17 +0000 UTCThe Artics burst on to the scene with 'I bet that you look good on the dance floor', and for a group of young guys you knew that they were going to be big. You should check out this track but to be fair they always seem to hit. I would recommend watching them live, they've headlined Glastonbury and this would be a great place to start.

2025-01-20 16:24:02 +0000 UTCI Bet that You Look Good on the Dancefloor is another belter of a song (from their first album) https://youtu.be/pK7egZaT3hs?si=FAWpZctDI2U0Hdkj

2025-01-20 15:48:26 +0000 UTCTheir first album is phenomenal, just completely captures the northern and particularly Sheffield sense of humour and perspectives on every day life as teenagers - and a fairly rare example of a British band singing in their own spoken accent that they’d pretty much moved on from by the time this song was released. Imagine if the Inbetweeners had formed a band, but made slightly more astute observations about their world and were from the north rather than the southeast… (funnily enough a song from the first album - Fluorescent Adolescent - is playing after they hit the girl with the frisbee in ep 2)

2025-01-20 15:42:04 +0000 UTCSuperb band. This is a modern classic and will become timeless I have no doubt. I'd recommend Piledriver Waltz - both the band version and Alex Turner's version for the (great) film Submarine, are excellent, although I do prefer the latter on balance. It's just a wonderful song. 🙏

2025-01-20 15:40:31 +0000 UTCIf you liked this song, it Would be amazing for you to watch Arctic Monkeys 2013 live at Glastonbury compared to something like Arctic Monkeys star treatment live in TRNSMT 2018 - the change in music style and style in this band is incredible . Even once you’ve watched those two, go back to their performances in 2007 would love to see that reaction they don’t look like they are even the same people 😂
