You think of that now as an adult? or you thought of that when you were learning? Because it seems a keen observation for a newbie.

2025-02-19 14:54:58 +0000 UTCMaybe too in depth of an observation but this came out pretty much exactly the same time that i was learning about sex etc and i’ve always thought that Charlotte must not know much more than Will, i mean what was he meant to do with her legs being just as closed as his were 😂😂😂

2025-01-27 08:50:22 +0000 UTCAs a huge fan of their early music though, I'd have to say: but at their best and most original in the 70s, before the dreadful Disintegration, Goth and fame got to them.

2025-01-26 21:13:36 +0000 UTCMike and Jess, it's lovely to hear that you are there for your teenage son! He'll turn out well for it, I'm sure. Mine weren't, and, in spite of being beautiful, I was told as a younger man regularly, and very intelligent, I have spent my life alone. I have always loved these coming of age stories, but they fill me with sadness as well as joy, particularly at such poignant moments as Will running to his mum to cry, when mine would abuse me rather than put an arm around me, particularly now she has died (my friend, finally, I'm proud to say).

2025-01-26 21:08:34 +0000 UTCI expect we all had friends who mistreated us, to answer your question, Mike. One of my two closest friends in my early twenties had sex with my girlfriend (now world famous) 2 days after she broke up with me. I had to sit on their bed and chat to them, rather than show how devastated I was. Just before he was killed at 25, he told me they didn't have sex and only pretended to upset me. Now that's fucked up!

2025-01-26 19:44:34 +0000 UTCI was about to write that The Cure pre-dated The Smiths by some way,.

2025-01-19 18:46:47 +0000 UTCIt was actually - rather appropriately - Inbetween Days by The Cure 🙂

2025-01-19 18:13:17 +0000 UTCIt’s a great ending, at the end of the day your mates are your mates and they’ll be there for you when it counts. The band at the end was The Cure, they’re a great band who were big in the 80s and 90s.

2025-01-19 18:11:54 +0000 UTCThe closing song was Boys Don’t Cry by The Cure from 1979. Very typical of British music in that period with bands like The Smiths, Echo and the Bunnymen, The Jesus And Mary Chain among others. It was a rich period for British music right through to the 1990s with Brit Pop (Oasis, Blur, Pulp and Suede etc.). Could we worth some reactions on your music days.

2025-01-19 17:17:05 +0000 UTCThe thing Jay was doing in the kitchen was Crazy Frog... I don't know if that ever made it to the US but back in the early 2000s it was on TV adverts, a few music singles. Very of its time - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crazy_Frog

2025-01-19 16:29:25 +0000 UTCI’ve got two sons, and my wife and I went through a few heartbreaks with them when they started dating. It’s all part of the process. Both are in their twenties now, and still dating!
