He is a kind of national treasure of a character who has been around since the early 90s. Coogan plays him on real chat shows and things like that too. 'Im Alan Partridge' is the classic series but Knowing Me Knowing You is his mock chat show to start at the start of Alan's own series but you can go back further. Just to confirm, the 'curator' here is an actress (she plays the part brilliantly) - the whole thing is a comedy bit in the style of some real historical shows we have here in the UK. And to 'fellate' is um.. to give a man pleasure orally.. hence the "bagpiping" comment 😂

There has even been a movie. Alan Partridge is really one of the cornerstones of British comedy, achingly funny and chronicling the life of a pompous buffoon who keeps failing in the world of broadcasting and life in general. Steve Coogan is also a brilliant serious actor.

2025-01-13 08:05:34 +0000 UTCAlan Partridge is an iconic character, start with Knowing Me Knowing You - his ‘chat show’, then onto I’m Alan Partridge (and beyond but I don’t just want to list everything that followed - and before anyone says anything I know he was also on the Day Today before KMKY and On the Hour on radio before that). He’s a very British character though I think, this is from the most recent series This Time, although a brand new one was finished recently.
