What did the British ever do for us?

Comments

Great reaction, I was only a teen when Colin pitchfork did those horrendous things to those young girls in Leicestershire, I’m from Leicester and a little later in life I worked with the guy (who I won’t name) who was arrested for those crimes. He worked at a local hospital unit where one of the girls were found close to the grounds and arrested and charged for the murders apparently giving the police a confession. The de Montfort university in Leicester approached the police and said they had a 100% chance of conviction using a new technology called dna. Although they thought they didn’t need it they decided to go with it to guarantee the conviction. When the results came back and they were told they had the wrong guy they said it was fake and untrustworthy as they had a confession from the guy they had in custody. Cut a long story short the university helped catch the right guy by dna testing hundreds of men in the Leicestershire area and when one result came back exactly the same as another they spoke to him and he confessed to attending a 2nd test on behalf of a friend who couldn’t make it. Yes his friend was Colin pitchfork, so when they tested him and his dna was at the crime scene it was conclusive. Now back to the guy I worked with who gave the confession to the murders, basically it was in an era of police corruption and they kept him awake with no food and little water constantly questioning until he confessed. Very sad but without dna not only did they get the right guy but an innocent man was not sent to prison. There is a lot more to the story and it’s very interesting to watch so defo check it out. Much love from 🇬🇧

Interesting video almost entirely based in fact as far as I know though some of his asides I would counter but I won’t out of courtesy. Also he didn’t even go into all the other ways that us Brits have enriched the current western civilization with other intellectual & cultural developments & achievements. New to your channels so I don’t know if you ever reacted to “What did The Romans ever do for us?” From a film by the Monty Python team which is incredibly comical in a very British way.

You should take a look at the three part drama 'Code of a Killer', this is the story of the first crime solved due to DNA fingerprinting. Also have you ever thought of doing an ancestry DNA? You will likely find your ancestor's were from Europe, I did mine some years ago and now have family in Canada.
