Eight Year Anniversary + Promotion!

Well everyone, here we are again. Another year, another anniversary post. For those who don't know, it was eight years ago today on February 22nd of 2017 that I launched my Patreon Page alongside my Commission Business.

By the time summer rolled around, I would be making enough money off of Patreon alone that it no longer made sense for me to continue working my part-time service industry job. The math just didn't work out. I was effectively losing money wiling away my hours collecting carts for the department store I worked for instead of just staying home and writing.

In July of 2017, I worked my last day at that department store and never looked back.

I won't deny all the credit. Part of what has made me as successful as I am has been my consistency and the ability to put my nose to the grindstone. I take pride in the fact that I've almost never missed an update. I've even had my humanity called into question and been labeled 'AI' because of the rate at which I churn out content.

But I'm not so egotistical to realize that the greater reason for my success is really all of you guys. Both on my Patreon and off of it, my readers are the reason I've been able to do the things I do for as long as I've been doing them. Without you guys to provide feedback, suggestions, praise, and yes, financial support, I would not have been able to do this for eight months let alone eight years.

As such, in recognition of the massive contribution all of my readers have had to my work, I'm going to be trying out Patreon's Promotion Feature for the first time here this month and next month. I have a habit of saying things like "Thanks to eight years, here's to eight more!" but I'm not stopping there this time around. Instead, let's take those first eight years and those next eight years and combine them for a 16% discount across the board on all of my Patreon Tiers!

Breaking it down real quick...

For any new Monthly Patrons, you need to put in the code 830B9 at checkout for 16% off your first month on my Patreon. After that first billing period, you will be charged the normal amount going forward if you stay pledged to my Patreon.

For any would be Annual Patrons, the discount was already at 10%. So rather than make the above code apply to annual patrons, I simply upped the already existing discount to 16% for anyone, no code necessary. I repeat, if you want to sign up for a whole year on my Patreon, the base discount will now be 16% with no code needed.

This promotion code will run from now until March 31st at 11:59 PM when its set to expire. So basically for the rest of February and all the way until the end of March. The Annual change has no expiration date, so if I forget about it, it might become the new normal, who knows.
