Without further ado, here are the results for both of this week's polls!
First however, I just want to remind everyone that you can now send me prompts for next week's poll! I currently have FOUR Guaranteed Prompts for Sunday Night's polls, and five suggestions!
That said, remember if you have a guaranteed prompt or you just want to suggest a prompt for the next poll, PLEASE send them to me in a Private Message on this website! As usual its first come, first serve!
Also as usual, I am committed to you guys, my loyal patrons. If you're entitled to a guaranteed prompt, please feel free to message me with your prompts and we can work together to potentially reshape any prompts that violate the guidelines into something that doesn't.
Thank you and here's the poll results for Prompt Poll A!
1. My Hero Academia: 837 votes!
2. Code Geass: 226 votes!
3. My Hero Academia: 82 votes!
4. Naruto: 848 votes!
5. My Hero Academia: 276 votes!
And here are the poll results for Prompt Poll B!
1. Harry Potter/Skyrim: 841 votes!
2. Danmachi: 344 votes!
3. Marvel: 200 votes!
4. Harry Potter: 838 votes!
5. The Little Mermaid: 245 votes!
And thus tomorrow's Prompt Poll Winner will be:
4. Naruto - Naruto/Kurotsuchi - Part 5 of "Diplomacy". Kurotsuchi knew that Naruto Uzumaki was supposed to be the strongest but she just had to witness it with her own eyes and experience it for herself. She gets the perfect chance when he turns up in her village and is quick to challenge him to a spar. She even bets her body on the result but may have bitten off more then she can chew. Not that she minds. Themes: Defeat Fetish, Virgin Sex, Breeding
And Saturday's Prompt Poll Winner will be:
1. Harry Potter/Skyrim - Harry/Serana/Aela - Part 3 of A 'Saving People' Thing. Lydia was one thing. A servant sworn to carry Harry's burdens, sexual or otherwise. But Aela the Huntress was a proper competitor for Harry's hand, or so one might think. When she finds out Harry isn't keeping things monogamous, she wants in. Harry is certain Serana won't be amused or appreciate such a challenger. Until of course, he's proven wrong once more. Themes: Pet Play, Dom/Sub, Threesome

A/N: As a bit of an addendum, since this set of polls were the absolute closest I've had in a long time and something happened in Poll B that hasn't happened in years, I figured I should probably clarify something for any patrons who may not know this yet:
Patreon's polling system does not allow for automatic weighted voting. This means that the percentages you see on the website's polls can very rarely be incorrect based on my own system which allows Rare Patrons to get 5 votes and Epic Patrons and up to get 10 votes.
Basically, I have to manually go in every Thursday and change every higher tier patron's votes around myself to make sure that everyone entitled to 5 votes gets their 5 votes and everyone entitled to 10 votes gets their 10 votes.
This is why, in spite of Option 4 in Poll B getting 31% while Option 1 got 30%, Option 1 still won the poll, because a handful more of higher tier patrons voted for it over Option 4 and the extra votes pushed it juuust over the edge into victory. It's happened before, but very, VERY rarely and like I said, the last time was literally years ago.
Hence me feeling like this explanation was necessary.
Comments
Nah, that's a very blurry line to start trying to walk. What's truly popular? What deserves to be in the popular poll and what deserves to be in the unpopular poll? Harry Potter, for instance, would be liable to slaughter Naruto and RWBY in every prompt poll I put them in. And if I only got three or so "popular" prompts then I would have to put unpopular prompts in to balance out the polls, so who gets the axe in that regard? Currently, the only curation I do is to try and separate prompts into Non-anime versus Anime polls, if I'm able to get 5 non-anime and 5 anime prompts each week. This way there's usually something for the crowd of people who don't like anime and usually something for the crowd that does like anime. Put bluntly, the Prompt Polls are a popularity contest and likely always will be. As well, I do not decide the prompts at the end of the day. The higher tier patrons who paid for the right to submit prompts to my weekly prompt polls decide what goes into the prompt polls, and then all of you guys vote for what you want. The popular fandoms win because they're popular. Trying to stuff them all into one poll each week just means less of my patrons will enjoy whatever wins the second poll. The goal is to maximize overall enjoyment for as many of the four thousand+ patrons I have as possible.

2024-12-20 17:05:16 +0000 UTCY’know something I’ve noticed whenever you make these polls? That certain fandom’s stories tend to win a lot more than others, some of the ones I’ve noticed winning pretty consistently are Naruto, RWBY and Harry Potter. This means that other fandoms usually don’t stand a chance against these that are more popular in the community which is kinda frustrating if you’re a fan of one of those fandoms. Have you ever thought of making one of the polls(probably a) have mostly the more popular fandoms while another(in this case b) with fandoms that win polls less often?

2024-12-19 23:10:02 +0000 UTCPatreon needs to fix their system to reflect weighted polling so that you don't have to manually change things, but that k you for the clarification.

2024-12-19 22:06:12 +0000 UTCThat makes no sense. I had actually never wondered how the weighted polling worked and I'm thrilled you have to go through them manually.
