Mark had noticed Rachel for a while, not just because she was a valuable member of the Guardians as Shrinking Rae and an attractive woman who clearly was as big of a nerd as him. He noticed her even more after she began using her powers to peep on him with Samantha and Kate, though she didn't seem to realize Mark's senses picked her up. When she's called out she jumps at the chance to be part of it, especially since she's always a had thing for the alien overlord roleplay, even if Mark played it corny.
