When it comes to her crew, it's important for a captain to know all the ins-and-outs. Sometimes a surprise inspection is necessary to find out exactly what's up.

I read Gideon the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir this month, and there is no scene in that book that's anything like this image. But at the same time this image was inspired by a specific part in that book, or at least by my thoughts while reading a specific part of that book and I can't really explain any better than that.

I really liked it, anyway, Tamsyn Muir is good at making the reader feel like the perspective character feels, and there is a whole long section where Gideon is bored and doesn't know what's going on, and I was kind of bored and didn't know what was going on, yet still into reading it. I stuck with it and ended up loving the story and the characters by the end. There's no sex in it. But by the end you certainly wish there was some.

I also re-read Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman for the first time in many years, and I still love that book. So if you come here for book recommendations, I finally have those two. ^_^''
