If I didn't make it to my next project featuring Novie, I'd hate to leave the world with any less of her. I've always done a piece of art for her birthday as long as I've known her, so of course I did this one, even though I haven't seen her in quite a few months. It's become an annual thing and I wouldn't want to miss it.

So, 1. No she's not a Nazi, and nothing could be further from the truth, but she's definitely wearing a German gothic style - it's appropriate for a dangerous, beautiful little tyrant. 2. Yes that's the Elder Sign on her broomhandle Mauser, how else could she defeat an eldritch monstrosity? Novie actually has a couple of firearms in real life, but I don't think she has one of those. I just felt it went well with the uniform.

3. As for the title of this post, it's from Antony & Cleopatra, a few lines before a bit quoted to describe Phryne Fisher in Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries, one of my favorite shows (and it's on Netflix):

"Age cannot wither her, nor custom stale

Her infinite variety. Other women cloy

The appetites they feed, but she makes hungry

Where most she satisfies"

It wasn't actually the inspiration for this image in any way, but it did remind me that Novie's birthday was coming up, when I saw that episode a few days ago.
