Weekly devlog + Android version (important info)
Added 2021-09-07 12:31:07 +0000 UTCSo, I just learned that Android changed their file extension from ‘apk’ to ‘aab’ which, surprising no one, broke everything. Thankfully the developer of Ren’Py is working on a fix, so as soon as the new version of the app comes out (early October if I am lucky), I’ll download it and share a fresh Android version for you to enjoy. I am super sorry about that, and I wish there was something for me to do about it. Alas, I can only wait.
Now, the progress:
The third part of the IF’s prologue is finished! Laurent’s last chapter of the demo is being worked on.
When the final route is done, and while it’s proofread/beta-ed, I’ll go through the whole demo from start to finish to polish it before the final update, since it’ll never be touched again. The last edits shouldn’t take longer than two days (I hope!), it’s mostly just smoothing things out, editing out the redundant stuff.
Which is basically how I am going to work on anything, really. Editing each part as it publishes then everything at once when it’s done. Now, there are some scenes that might not appear in the IF, some that will be changed, but if you have a request about what you’d like to see in-game, do let me know, I’ll see what I can do to include it if not before then during the final edits once all the ‘base’ scenes are fleshed out.
I’ll be touching up on the art assets next week so you can expect some sneak-peeks soon.
