“Not bad; not bad at all,” He thought. But he soon began to obsess, eventually confessing aloud, “But the breasts could be bigger. And does the right one sag a little more than the left one?”
He could, of course, go out and try to steal another body. He tried to count how many he had stolen so far. Was it eight? Nine? Each one he had rejected for some reason before stealing a different one. There was only one catch to the magic that allowed him to do this; it would only work ten times.
If he screwed it up this time, that would be it. Then again, maybe he had miscounted. Maybe this was the last body? Would that be so bad? He tried going over in his head. It was hard to remember the various women he had been in the past week. One would think one would remember all the bodies they had stolen, but it was harder than Howard imagined. Maybe he could try this one for just a little while longer.
