She was on the robotics team and shit like that. I never knew what he saw in her, but they did seem so much in love. In fact, a few years later, they got married and asked yours truly to be the Best Man.
It was an honor, but it was also weird coordinating things with Li’s bridesmaids. They were all nerdy Asian women like her, and I swear even the biggest one was only half my size.
When the big day came, I was discussing a few final details with the Maid of Honor when the weirdest shit happened -- we literally swapped bodies. I ran my hands all up and down my body, shocked by the fact that I was now a small, Asian woman.
We both decided it was best not to ruin Bud and Li’s big day, so we have to pretend like nothing was wrong. We went over each other’s responsibilities, we swaps notes for the speeches we were going to have to give, and we discussed our game plan for what to do after the wedding to try to figure out how to get back to normal. Of course, we had no idea how we swapped in thee first place, so we didn’t have much to go on. And as much as I hated the idea of going through the rest of the day as the Maid of Honor in this uncomfortable dress, the last thing I wanted was to be stuck like this for the rest of my life. We had to find a way to swap back; we just had to!
