Mystery solved

If you’ve been following me for the past year you know that I have been fighting a war of attrition with a mysterious health condition for what feels like forever. I have been to countless doctors and tried every homeopathic, OTC, and practical remedy imaginable but it’s been getting steadily worse since last June when I dropped all that weight due to a respiratory issue. After dogsitting for two weeks and all of my symptoms completely vanishing, I realized it was something in my little windowless shitbox apartment and decided to do some of my own tests. I hauled everything out of my room (one of the only ones with windows) and covered the floor in a tarp to make an airlock of sorts. I got a carbon monoxide detector, removed all allergens, and began testing for mold. As you can see, this place is in fact Nasty 9000, like I’ve been saying since last year, and I now know why I have been so sick. Unfortunately while my landlady did let me break my lease, I now have to move in less than a month and finding a place this cheap is simply not doable so I’m gonna end up doubling my rent. Even so, I could not be happier to finally have a solution to all of this and have light at the end of the tunnel for the first time since last year.

Having mold in a rental property that's not being handled is illegal, you could feasibly sue the landlady for your rent money back and any medical bills. I had an old landlord that I caught his son painting over black mold in the garage. I made sure to tell anyone that came to look at the house about it and he tried to evict me for it. I drew that uno reverse card and showed him pictures of the mold and video of his kid painting over it told him I'll be calling the city and contacting a lawyer if he tries anything.
