Chapter 1: Beginning Of A Master
Galar region
Naruto gazed at his rival and fellow reincarnated ninja, Sasuke Uchiha. He had been reborn in this world as the eldest son of Delia Ketchum after their epic showdown, which ended with both of them losing an arm and ultimately succumbing to blood loss due to the lack of anyone to staunch the wounds.
As the blonde grew older, he learnt more of this new world inhabited by creatures called Pokemon, which humans could train to fight on their behalf. Initially, he worried that, similar to the tailed beasts from the shinobi world, the Pokemon might be exploited for their strength. However, his concerns were misplaced, as this world has regulations that protect Pokemon from abuse. In fact, the Pokemon themselves enjoy participating in battles to demonstrate their abilities.
The revived Uzumaki, now known as Ketchum, quickly grows to love Pokemon and battles. He frequently watches gym competitions on television and dreams of becoming a trainer, aspiring to one day achieve the title of Pokemon master.
It was only when he reached the age of twelve that he embarked on his adventure with his starter Pokémon. He then captured a Charmander, one of his favorite Pokémon, marking the beginning of his quest to become a Pokémon master. Along the way, Naruto faced rivals, formed friendships, and eventually had a reunion with Sasuke, who had also been reincarnated and turned into a trainer.
They find themselves in rivalry again, competing across various regions until they face off in the championship leagues, where the victor will earn the title of Pokémon Master.
BOOM

Naruto's Charizard and Sasuke's Infernape faced off in a spectacular display of strength, with both powerful Fire-type Pokemon refusing to back down. Their attacks created a huge cloud of dust, and when it finally settled, both Pokémon were left incapacitated.
"Naruto's Charizard and Sasuke's Infernape are unable to battle; both trainers, send out your last Pokémon," the referee said, waiting for the trainers to do as he said.
Naruto took out an Ultra Ball and declared, "I choose you, Rayquaza!" Rayquaza, his Pokemon, was the legendary sky Pokemon, resembling a huge green dragon.

Sasuke pulled out his Pokédex to get some info on the Pokémon Rayquaza. It is a Legendary Dragon/Flying-type Pokémon known for its long lifespan and role in legendary lore. It's said to have lived for hundreds of millions of years in the ozone layer, above the clouds, and is a key figure in stories about the clash between Kyogre and Groudon. Rayquaza flies through the ozone layer, consuming meteoroids for sustenance, and its ability to mega-evolve is linked to the energy stored from these meteoroids.
The crowd was taken aback by the sight of the legendary Pokemon, with some people fainting from astonishment. Meanwhile, others, including Professor Oak, appeared eager to examine the Pokemon once Naruto sent it to his lab.
"So you managed to catch a Rayquaza, Naruto. Not too shabby, but don’t get too cocky just because you have a legendary Pokémon," Sasuke remarked as he pulled out a Dusk Ball. "Come on out, Giratina."

While the crowd was amazed and captivated by Naruto Rayquaza, they were filled with dread at the sight of Sasuke Giratina. It earned its title as the god of darkness for a reason, and it was even referred to as the devil of the Pokémon universe.
Naruto used his Pokédex on the Pokémon, Giratina. It is a Ghost/Dragon-type Legendary Pokémon. It is known for its ability to transform into two forms: Altered Forme and Origin Forme. Origin Forme is activated by having Giratina hold a Griseous Orb or Griseous Core, or while it is in the Distortion World, its home. Giratina is considered a member of the Creation Trio, along with Dialga and Palkia.
"You have a Giratina— not bad. I expect nothing less from my rival," Naruro declared, not the least afraid of facing his rival's Pokémon, and Rayquaza looked eager for the battle to begin.
"Now that both trainers have sent out their last Pokémon, the battle will begin on the count of three," the referee announced from the middle of the battlefield. "3, 2, 1, begin."

"Rayquaza, Agile Style, Dragon Tail," Naruto said quickly. His Pokémon's tail glowed, and its speed increased with the use of Agile Style, although its power decreased.
Sasuke was not ideal, and he also issued his Pokémon orders: "Agile Style, Dragon Tail." The reincarnated Uchiha mimicked Naruto's actions, something that Naruto found humorous. It seems once an Uchiha, always an Uchiha.
The two Legendary Pokémon charged at each other with glowing tails that met in the middle of the battlefield in a show of power and speed. The aftermath of the attack clouded the field in a thick dust cloud larger than the one created by Infernape and Charizard.
When the dust cleared, it showed both Pokémon unharmed and glaring at the other, waiting for orders from their masters.
As the Pokémon had their stare-off, Naruto and Sasuke were doing the same. It was like old times with them competing to see who is the best, with neither willing to admit defeat. This battle will determine who will be the Pokémon master.
But before they rose to be some of the most powerful trainers, we must look back at the beginning to when they first began their journey to be the very best.
Flashback
Pallet Town
"You need to wake up, Naruto, or you'll be late getting to the Professor's house to pick your first Pokémon," a woman's voice called out loudly from downstairs in the two-story house.
Upstairs, a twelve-year-old boy with blonde hair was sound asleep in his bed, snoring softly. He made a few noises before settling back into a deep slumber.
With a sigh, the woman asked her other son, Ash Ketchum, a petite six-year-old with black hair and eyes, "Could you please go up there and wake Naruto so he doesn't miss his time?"
"Absolutely, Mom!" Ash exclaimed with enthusiasm as he dashed up the stairs, causing Delia to shake her head and smile. "What am I going to do with those kids?"
A few minutes later, she heard a loud noise coming from upstairs. She realized that Ash had probably jumped on Naruto while he was sleeping to rouse him, as her blonde son was a heavy sleeper, and this was the best method to get him up.
"Come back here, you little brat!" Naruto's voice boomed, and then Delia heard her son descending the stairs.
"Mom, please protect me," Ash exclaimed as he ducked behind Delia, trying to escape the furious Naruto who stormed into the kitchen moments later, searching for his little brother to settle the score.
"I'm really happy to see you awake, sweetheart. Now, please take a seat and have your breakfast," Delia said, her smile having an almost eerie quality that made Naruto break into a sweat. "I've been trying to wake you for an hour so we could have some family time before you head off on your journey."
Naruto's shoulders drooped as he processed the news; his mother had sent the little creature to rouse him. However, the idea of finally getting his first Pokémon brought a big grin to his face. When he glanced at the clock, his expression changed to one of alarm.
"Uh oh, I'm going to be late!" Naruto shouted before sprinting up the stairs. Just a few minutes later, he dashed out the door to head to Professor Oak's lab.
Delia sighed as she glanced at the clock, thinking, "What am I going to do with that boy?" Naruto had just five minutes left to reach the Professor's lab, or he risked losing the opportunity to choose a Pokémon.
Ash emerged from behind her and leaped onto a chair at the kitchen table, eagerly stuffing his face with food. She watched him closely, noting how he resembled his father, her second love, while Naruto bore the features of her first love.
Ash and Naruto had different fathers, she got with Naruto father when she was a Pokémon trainer, they fell in love after they had a Pokémon battle she lose but when she saw how kind and strong he was to his Pokémon she was smitten.
Delia smiled sadly as she thought of how their relationship ended leaving her pregnant with Naruto it would be years later she opened her heart again to ash dad then even had ash, Delia just shook her head of the memories and smile at ash as he ate.
Fast Forward
Professor Oak's Lab
"I’m curious about Naruto's whereabouts," Professor Oak mused aloud, standing before two young individuals. One of them was a girl named Green, characterized by her long brown hair and dressed in a white shirt paired with a red skirt.
Beside the girl is a boy with brown hair dressed in jeans, a red shirt, and a red cap. He is considered one of the top contenders in the written test for future Pokémon trainers, and his name is Red.
With a sigh, Green remarked, "Knowing Naruto, he probably overslept," shaking her head in disappointment. Although the blonde boy was her friend, he had a tendency to be too carefree.
"Haha, I think Green has a point, Professor," Red chuckled. "Naruto typically shows up at least an hour late to Pokémon school." He considered Naruto his rival, noting that while he had a natural talent for connecting with Pokémon, punctuality was not one of his strong suits.
"If that's the case, we'll have to start without him," the Professor said. He was reluctant to take this step, but rules were rules. To choose a starter Pokémon, one had to be punctual. Besides, Naruto would simply select the one Pokémon that were not chosen.
Red and Green exchanged a glance, understanding that Naruto would regret not choosing the starter he desired, but it was his own mistake. So, they proceeded to make their selections and chose their first Pokémon.
The Professor handed them the pokedex and a few poke balls. Just as they were about to depart, they heard a recognizable voice call out.
"Wait for me, I'm on my way!" Naruto called out, bursting through the lab's front door and panting heavily. "Did I arrive just in time?"
The three of them regarded Naruto with sympathy, but it was Professor Oak who spoke up, saying, "Naruto, my young friend, you arrived a bit late, so Green and Red have already selected their Pokémon. However, I do have one more available for you if you're interested, or you can choose to wait another year to begin your adventure."
"Wait, what?" Naruto shouted in shock. He had been confident that he would be able to obtain a Charmander, believing it was the Pokémon the Professor had, but his hopes were quickly crushed.
"The final starter is a Squirtle," the Professor announced, causing Naruto to slump his shoulders in disappointment.
"Sorry, Naruto, but you snooze, you lose," Red states, holding his Poké Ball containing Charmander. "I wanted Charmander as well."
"Sure, Professor, could you show me the last Pokémon before I decide?" Naruto inquired, to which the professor agreed and let the Squirtle out of its Poké Ball.

The Squirtle appeared just like any other of its species, prompting Naruto to ponder whether he should remain for a year to obtain the Charmander he desired.
It was as if the Squirtle could read his mind, giving Naruto a fierce look that seemed to communicate a warning not to underestimate him. The two held each other's gaze in a tense standoff, neither willing to look away until Naruto broke the silence with a smirk.
"I want that Squirtle," Naruto said with a confident voice. "We are going to be the best that ever was, aren't we, buddy?"
Naruto expressed this and extended his hand towards the Pokémon, which accepted it, and they shook hands as if solidifying their partnership.
The Professor, along with Green and Red, observed the scene, which was quite remarkable—almost as if Squirtle and Naruto could genuinely comprehend one another.
"I'm glad to see you and Squirtle bonding, Naruto," Professor Oak said with a grin. "Here, take this Pokédex and some Poké Balls; they'll assist you on your adventure."
"Thanks, Professor," Naruto said as he bent down to allow Squirtle to hop onto his shoulder. He glanced at Red, who returned the same expression, prompting Green to sigh and shake her head, aware of what was about to happen. Meanwhile, Oak observed with interest.
"I challenge you to a battle," Red declared, his Pokéball in hand and a confident grin on his face. "What do you say, Naruto? Will you battle me or are you a chicken?"
Before Naruto had a chance to reply, Squirtle leaped off his shoulder and landed on the ground between him and Red, its expression filled with determination.
Squire Squirtle Squirtle
Squirtle spoke up clearly, eager for a fight, prompting Naruto to grin at Red. "Looks like Squirtle has already given you my answer. Prepare for battle!" Naruto declared confidently.
"Though I enjoy a thrilling Pokémon battle as much as anyone, could you please take it outside?" Professor Oak remarked, wiping a bead of sweat from his forehead. These kids always seem eager to battle the moment they receive their starter Pokémon. "There's a proper time and place for everything, and this isn't the right setting for Pokémon battles."
"Sorry, Professor," both new trainers said, while Green shook her head at the foolishness of their actions. Oak chuckled at their antics and decided to take them outside for a battle, volunteering to act as the referee.
"Alright, this will be a one-on-one match. If your Pokémon can no longer fight, you lose, or you can choose to forfeit at any moment," Professor Oak explained the rules. He then glanced at Naruto and Red to confirm their understanding, receiving a nod from both. "Now, both trainers, please send out your Pokémon."

"Charmander, I choose you!" Red exclaimed as he tossed his Pokéball onto the battlefield. In an instant, a fiery-tailed orange lizard Pokémon emerged, letting out a battle roar.
Char Char Charmander
"Get ready for battle, Squirtle," Naruto said as he glanced at his Pokémon beside him, which then dashed onto the battlefield to face its adversary.
"With both trainers having released their Pokémon, let the battle commence," Professor Oak announced, lowering his hand to indicate the beginning of the first Pokémon battle between the two new trainers.

"Charmander, use ember!" commanded Red, and the little orange Pokémon complied, taking a deep breath before unleashing a flurry of hot embers towards Squirtle.
“Squirtle, dodge it and use Bubble!” Naruto shouted urgently as he noticed the ember attack approaching. However, unlike Charmander, who followed Red’s commands, Squirtle ignored Naruto's orders and rushed directly into the ember, absorbing the hit and tackling Charmander to the ground.
"Squirtle, what are you up to?" Naruto shouted anxiously, realizing his Pokémon was ignoring him. The Professor observed the scene and sighed, aware that this could occur. Squirtle was a good Pokémon, but it was stubborn—pun intended—making it difficult for its trainer to gain its attention.
"Charmander, use scratch!" Following Red's command, Charmander swiftly swiped at Squirtle's eyes, causing it to cry out in agony and release its grip on the fire-type. "Great job! Now, use ember once more."
The assault struck Squirtle before it had a chance to regain its composure after its eyes were scratched. Although the fire attack caused minimal harm to the water type, the combination of the two attacks was beginning to take a toll on it.
"Come on!" Naruto exclaimed as he watched his Pokémon on the verge of defeat. "Squirtle, you need to pay attention and use your bubble attack on the ground!"
Naruto planned to utilize a bubble attack to create a cloud of dirt that would obstruct Charmander and Red's sight, allowing Squirtle some time to regain its strength and Naruto to devise a battle strategy. However, Squirtle disregarded his command and charged straight at Charmander.
A few moments later, the battle concluded with Squirtle's defeat. Naruto let out a sigh as he placed the Pokémon back into its Pokéball. He knew he would need to use a revive and some potions once he got home.
"That was disappointing," Naruto remarked, glancing sadly at his Pokéball. "Looks like I need to earn Squirtle's trust before it will obey me."
"That was quite mature of you, Naruto," Oak remarked with a smile. He was prepared to offer the blonde trainer some guidance, but it appeared unnecessary. "I have faith that you'll get Squirtle to cooperate soon. Perhaps after this loss, it will realize that Pokémon battles involve not just the Pokémon, but the trainer as well."
"Yes, Professor, you are right, and I know that Squirtle and I will get it together soon," Naruto remarked, then turned to Red. "That was a great battle, but next time I am going to win."
"Absolutely not! I'll win our next battle as well. Charmander and I will be ten times stronger, so there's no way you can defeat us," Red declared with a grin. He fist-bumped Naruto and continued, "I'm heading home to gather my stuff and kick off my Pokémon journey. See you later!"
"I'm heading home to get my things ready for my journey too," Green said while waving. "Perhaps next time we can have a match," she added with a grin. "But just so you know, I might defeat you even more decisively than you lost to Red."
Naruto recognized that she was just joking to ease the atmosphere. "Keep dreaming! This is the only time I’ll ever lose to Red, and when we face off, I’m absolutely going to come out on top," the reincarnated shinobi asserted.
Green simply smiled and walked away, while Naruto chose to return home, reflecting on his defeat and considering what he might have done differently. Ultimately, he realized there was nothing he could have changed besides declining the battle invitation and opting to train with Squirtle instead.
"Goodbye, Professor," Naruto called out as he mentally replayed various battle scenarios, many of which Squirtle paid attention to what he said. In most of these situations, he found that victory would have come easily, so the first thing he needed to focus on was getting his starter to follow his instructions.
