Ultimately, they all promised to keep their newfound knowledge confidential, and Zod set off to locate his mother for answers. However, Naru-To realized that convincing Lyta-Zod to change her mind was unlikely; she was incredibly obstinate when it came to her decisions.

Eventually, Jor-El reached out to him, not to discuss the conflict with Zod being his sibling, but because he had discovered something in his blood. This revelation caused Naru-To to curse, as he feared it might indicate that he was identified as a Kryptonian Magi.

Naru-To never believed that Jor-El would uncover anything that eluded even the most brilliant minds of the science guild, but he may have underestimated the man’s abilities.

Thankfully, Jor-El kept what he learned to himself and even showed Naru-To that he seemed to have a faster healing ability than most Kryptonians and that his cells adapt quickly.

Naru-To felt relieved that his friend would stay silent about what he discovered, as he truly wanted to avoid having to eliminate the man and incinerate his lab to cover up the incident as a failed experiment.

Naru-To needed to regain his composure and concentrate on the pressing issue at hand: Krypton was facing imminent destruction, and those in power were not going to intervene. It was up to him to take action, or at the very least, ensure that his people escaped the planet before it met its fate.

"You will soon learn that Zod has staged a coup and eliminated most of the council, but I don't believe he can maintain control over Krypton for long. When the moment arrives, you and others will be chosen for the council. I want you to send him to the Phantom Zone to ensure he doesn't interfere with my plans," Naru-To replied, causing Nila to sit up in surprise at the news she had just received, all the aches and pain in her body forgotten.

"What!? Why would he act so impulsively and recklessly?" Nila shouted, her eyes wide in disbelief. "Has he completely lost his senses?"

Naru-To laughed, saying, "That would have been a more favorable situation if he had, but Zod is of sound mind." He then turned serious, explaining, "He acted the way he did because Jor-El discovered that Krypton was on the verge of self-destruction. He presented this information to the council, but they ignored it and even threatened him with punishment if he didn't keep quiet."

"Perhaps there's a justification for their actions," Nila remarked, doubting that the supreme leaders of their world would be so narrow-minded without a valid explanation. They must possess knowledge that Jor-El lacks.

"It's cute that you have so much faith in the council," Naru-To said, playfully pinching Nila's cheek, much to her irritation. "But you're not seeing the reality in front of us: Krypton is in serious danger, and this planet is likely going to explode. There's probably no way to prevent that. Our focus should be on saving the people, but the council is going to hinder my efforts. That's where you come into play."

"What do you expect from me?" Nila-Vex inquired, her shoulders drooping in resignation. She could debate with Naru-To for hours, but deep down, they both understood he would ultimately persuade her to join his side. "You realize that you'll be committing treason and dragging me into your conspiracy."

"Cheer up, Nila. If I'm correct, you won't be seen as a criminal but rather as one of the heroes for our people. Just trust me and follow my lead," Naru-To said, aware that he was asking a lot from his close friend, but she was one of the few he could rely on for assistance.

Naru-To proceeded to inform Nila about his requirements, which included her agreeing to work with a phantom zone machine, an obsolete Kryptonian war spacecraft, as well as her full collaboration.

"You've lost your mind, you realize that?" Nila said while sprawled out on the bed, her mood dampened by her blonde partner's intentions. "You intend to fix the spaceship and then send as many people as you can to the Phantom Zone before leaving Krypton to escape the explosion. I really hope you don't plan on sending me to that terrible place."

"I have no alternative plans for you. I will require a team to navigate the ship and establish a new governing body, and you, my dear, are among my top selections," Naru-To said, finding amusement in the way Nila's expression brightened at his statement, momentarily overlooking the risks involved in his plans.

"Who are some of the others?" Nila inquired with interest, but her expression changed to a frown when Naru-To mentioned the name of the next person he intended to invite.

Naru-To responded with "Lyta-Zod," prompting a look of astonishment from Nila. And understandably so, as Lyta was known as one of Krypton's most devoted soldiers; many believed she would choose death over betraying her home.

"What! Are you out of your mind? She'll take you out if you even hint at your plans," Nila shouted, terrified not just for herself but for Naru-To as well.

"There's no need to be concerned; I have a plan to bring her along with me, which is why I need you to send Dru-Zod into the Phantom Zone," Naru-To said with a composed demeanor.

Nila observed Naru-To and his words, and gradually grasped the reason behind his unwavering confidence that Lyta would side with him. He intended to force her to choose between the safety of her son and her allegiance to Krypton.

"You cunning devil," Nila whispered, realizing the extent of Naru-To's scheme. "What will happen when she discovers that you manipulated her and are the one who got her son trapped in the Phantom Zone?"

"I'll deal with that situation when it arises," Naru-To expressed his thoughts about Lyta. He had a training session scheduled with her later. What most people didn't realize was that Lyta had a tender side that she seldom revealed—except when they were intimate.

Naru-To recalled with a smirk that Lyta was his mentor when he first enlisted in the military guild. She would give him a serious beating, leaving him bruised and battered.
