Chapter 17: Tsumiki Freed?

Naruto felt satisfied observing Maki as she battled the ancient sorcerer. He understood that his wife might struggle against the possessed Tsumiki Fushiguro, but he was certain that the extraordinary woman could at least diminish the power of the malevolent sorcerer.

The Uzumaki understood that his responsibility was to keep an eye on Kenjaku and Sukuna in case they decided to come here to launch an attack for any reason. He was nearly certain that the king of curses would show up soon, but he hoped that they would manage to rescue Tsumiki from the malevolent sorcerer by that point.

Naruto had devised a contingency plan for the unlikely event that Sukuna, the ice curse user, and Kenjaku joined forces. This alliance seemed improbable given that Sukuna, the king of curses, was too proud to collaborate with anyone against a formidable adversary.

The strategy was more of a surprise attack than an actual plan. In case things went south, Naruto had Maki contact Yuta Okkotsu, while Yuji went to get another formidable sorcerer whom he and Megumi had previously persuaded to join their side.

"Move aside, you're obstructing my path to my true love," shouted the sorcerer controlling Megumi's sister as she unleashed tentacles made of liquid metal. "Why won't you just perish already?"

"You're the one who should perish first, you wretch. Leave Tsumiki's body and find peace like a proper spirit," Maki said with a satisfied grin, enjoying the sorcerer's evident frustration.

Maki utilized her agility and quick reflexes to slice through the liquid metal that was attempting to attack her. As soon as the metal made contact with her sword, it lost its rigidity and fell to the ground like ordinary liquid.

Naruto sighed in exasperation as he observed the clash between the two women. The dark sorcerer held the upper hand with her expertise in curse techniques, but Maki compensated for that with her extraordinary physique and a weapon capable of damaging the soul, which also passively nullified curse techniques.

Naruto's gaze shifted towards Angel, who was being shielded by Knight and Rook, ready to defend her from any potential threats. Alongside Tsumiki, she was one of the most vital individuals he needed to protect, aside from his wife—though he knew she could handle herself just fine.

Maki had become much more powerful since their initial meeting; she was now as formidable as a beast. Consequently, he needed to exert more effort to overcome her during their sparring sessions.

Naruto's gaze drifted across Maki's figure; she appeared as alluring as always, yet her physique felt as solid as steel. To be frank, she was even tighter than her sister, but it was like being with someone made of iron, while Mai offered a softer, warmer experience.

As if sensing his thoughts Maki glanced in his direction with an annoyed look but he just blow her a kiss getting a scowl from her but he noticed a faint blush on her cheeks.

Naruto shifted his demeanor, realizing the urgency of the situation. They were running out of time and needed to rescue Tsumiki immediately, or they would face the consequences of failure.

"Maki, quit fooling around and focus," Naruto commanded as he chose to join the fight, enhancing his strength with the energy of his king piece.

The malevolent sorcerer must have anticipated the impending events, as she employed her curse technique to morph into a creature that Naruto could only describe as a colossal bee.

The Uzumaki resolved to employ his cursed corpse against the possessed Tsumiki, and although Maki was irritated by her husband's meddling in her fight, she ultimately agreed, recognizing that this was a matter of survival, not a game.

Naruto reached behind him and drew what appeared to be a tuning fork, but it was actually a sword with a peculiar shape. The spirit possessing Tsumiki, felt a strong instinct urging her to avoid any contact with it. In response, she took to the skies, evading Naruto's attack and choosing to disregard Maki, considering her to be the lesser threat.

Naruto unveiled his hidden weapon, created from the combined power of his and Mai's curse techniques. Originally intended for Sukuna, he believed Tsumiki would serve as an effective test subject to determine its functionality.

Naruto brandished the tuning fork like a sword, unleashing a high-frequency sound that destabilized anyone capable of using curse energy. The malevolent sorcerer within Tsumiki grimaced in agony, feeling the effects more intensely than an ordinary sorcerer due to her resurrection as a cursed object.

"I've got you now!" Maki shouted, unaffected by the cursed weapon. Using her superhuman abilities, she leaped into the air to reach the evil sorcerer. "Take this!" The former Zenin slashed Tsumiki's chest, causing the sorcerer to lose her transformation and collapse to the ground.

"Curse you all, why can't you grasp my feelings?" the furious sorceress exclaimed as she attempted to rise. Suddenly, she felt her body stiffen, her cursed energy turning into a viscous substance that she could no longer control as effortlessly. "What is happening to me?" she wondered in confusion.

The possessed Tsumiki glanced back to find Naruto extending his hand, which displayed a Kanji character for "restrict" on his right palm. She realized that the blonde figure wasn't focused on her, but rather on someone else.

The wicked sorcerer followed Naruto's gaze and spotted a blonde woman standing between what appeared to be a male and female knight. She was channeling energy for an attack that seemed to have a positive essence, instantly alerting the sorcerer that the purpose of the attack was to sever her connection with her vessel.

"I refuse to let you win; my love will not be denied!" the furious sorcerer bellowed in vehement defiance, her curse energy surging and forcing Naruto to stumble back in shock. He muttered angrily under his breath as he witnessed the possessed Tsumiki conjuring what appeared to be an unstoppable sphere, its gravitational pull resembling that of a damn black hole!

Naruto was ready to strike with his cursed weapon once more when black tentacles emerged from the sphere, reaching for him. Realizing the danger of being ensnared, Naruto quickly evaded, understanding that capture would be deadly.

Maki rushed to Naruto's side, slicing through any tentacles that lunged at him. The reincarnated Uzumaki cursed himself for underestimating the possessed Tsumiki; in his eagerness to conclude the fight, he failed to realize that she was now aware of their intentions and wouldn' t passively allow herself to be exorcised.

"We can't afford to be relaxed any longer; we need to put a stop to this immediately," Naruto stated as he tossed the cursed tool to Maki, who skillfully caught it. "You should be able to handle this better than I can."

Naruto didn't give Maki a chance to respond; he called upon his other Rook, who had green hair. She caused roots to erupt from the ground, restraining Tsumiki. Then, Naruto slammed his hand onto the ground, causing a seal array to materialize that quickly surrounded the ancient sorcerer.

"What in the world is happening?" the malevolent sorcerer yelled at the seal, whose confined abilities were overwhelming her with pain. "I will destroy all of you!"

Maki charged at Tsumiki and forcefully brought the tuning sword down onto her face, causing her screams of agony to escalate until the block sphere she had summoned shattered.

"Jacob's Ladder!" Angel shouted as a beam of light surrounded Tsumiki. The wicked sorcerer howled and hurled curses until everything fell silent and the light disappeared.

Naruto let out a sigh of relief as he approached Tsumiki, feeling that the malevolent force within her had vanished. He understood that he needed to act quickly, as he could sense a strong surge of cursed energy coming closer, accompanied by a weaker one.

Tsumiki stirred and blinked awake, and Naruto was relieved to see that the madness that had consumed her earlier was gone. This confirmed that at least this aspect of his plan had succeeded; now it was time to move on to phase two.

"Ui Ui," Naruto shouted, and the younger Mei Mei emerged using his curse technique, Spatial Transference. "Get Tsumiki and Angel out of here immediately."

"Stop bossing me around," Ui Ui responded, irritated with Naruto's commands. The only person who could give him orders was his cherished sister, but she had mentioned that she worked for Naruto, which meant he had to follow the blonde's instructions. Holding a sheet, he covered Tsumiki with it, and they vanished. He repeated the action with Angel when he reappeared, ensuring her safety as well.

Naruto had made an agreement with Mei Mei to allow her younger brother to teleport them to safety after Tsumiki was rescued from the clutches of the evil sorcerer. This arrangement also enabled him to help Mai and her mother escape from the Culling Games zone.

Mei Mei, always on the lookout for a chance to take advantage, drained Naruto of all his funds, leaving him so financially strapped that he had to seek a loan from the Gojo clan just to settle his debts with the greedy woman.

"What's happening over here?" a voice that sounded both known and unfamiliar called out from a nearby rooftop, not far from Naruto.

Naruto glanced over to find the king of curses, Sukuna, accompanied by the ice curse user. Sukuna wore a smirk that suggested amusement, but Naruto could sense his irritation at being denied the chance to kill Tsumiki to free his vessel spirit, as Ui Ui had already whisked her and Angel away to safety.

Naruto stood alongside Mai as he faced Sukuna, realizing that Yuta would need to intervene if they had any chance of making it through the battle. He sensed Yuji nearby, leading him to believe that the former vessel of the curse king was likely dealing with his own issues, especially with so many reincarnated sorcerers in the vicinity, not to mention Kenjaku's presence.

"You jujutsu kids are starting to get on my nerves," Sukuna declared, his murderous intent and cursed energy radiating from him. "You believe you can outsmart me by rescuing the boy's sister, but I don't have to go after her when I can simply take you and his friends out instead."

"Let's do this, old man," Naruto said, locking eyes with Sukuna, prepared to battle alongside Maki for support. "But don't assume it's going to be a walk in the park against us."

Just as if on cue, a massive hand seized the ice curse technique user and hurled her aside, leaving Sukuna to confront Naruto and Maki. To Sukuna's credit, he didn't flinch as his companion was removed; he merely appeared uninterested.

"Tsk, I'm looking forward to making you feel hopeless, brat," Sukuna said, as he formed a hand seal to activate the ten shadow curse technique.

A massive shikigami emerged from Sukuna's shadow, causing Naruto to curse under his breath. He had hoped that the king of curses wouldn't conjure such a creature right away, but luck was not on their side. Before them stood the most powerful shikigami, Mahoraga.
