Chapter 3: Blood and Darkness

Flashback Scene Ahead

Elemental Nation

Naruto watched the mutated Otsutsuki, Momoshiki, who had devoured his companion and evolved into a monstrous form that he could feel was several times more powerful than he was before.

"I will have to take this more seriously," Naruto said out loud. Momoshiki was angry; he would not believe that the blonde human had not been fighting him with everything he had. The inferior being had to be bluffing.

"So your despair at seeing my new form had made you lose your mind," Momoshiki said with a smirk, but it was wiped from his face as he saw and felt an explosion of chakra from Naruto; it felt endless.

Naruto had entered his perfected Sage Mode, which mixed his Toad Sage Mode, Yang Six Paths Sage Mode, and Kurama Mode. It was his second-strongest transformation.

"Let's get wild," Naruto replied with a savage grin that sent shivers down Momoshiki's spine. The ground exploded under the Uzumaki's feet as he sped off to attack the Otsutsuki.

Justice League Universe

Uninhabited Island

It has been a month since the incident with Doctor Light. Batman has returned, and he was not happy about what happened to Barbara. Naruto could not blame him.

Bruce was disappointed that Barbara didn't trust his judgment about who to leave in charge during his absence, which ended up almost costing her her life. Naruto and Barbara decided to hide the fact that the red-haired bat-themed heroine can now use chakra, mostly because it might make Batman even more paranoid than he already is. He might think Naruto is trying to build an army of superpowered individuals to take over the world or something.

Barbara herself had somewhat recovered, but she had developed a fear and hatred of men. Except for him, she hid it well. Even Batman couldn't tell how different she is now, but Naruto, with his empath detection, can feel it as clear as day.

"I hope that isn't going to be a problem in the future," Naruto muttered as he watched Barbara walk on water. He had taken her to an uninhabited island he found a while back for secret training.

"I am getting the hang of this," Barbara said happily as she was on top of the water, taking baby steps with only a black swimsuit on. "And you said this would be hard; it's a piece of cake."

"That is because you have a small chakra reserve," Naruto replied, looking at Barbara, who had dropped into the water after losing concentration. "Chakra is easy to control when you have so little of it."

Barbara had more chakra than Sakura did when they were kids, but not by much. So, she was going through the control exercises in record time. However, when it came to teaching her jutsu that required a lot of chakra, Naruto knew the red head would not be able to use them.

Batgirl swam out of the water, giving Naruto a show. Her bra and panties were soaked, making them see-through. The Uzumaki could see Barbara's hard nipples from the cold water and her shaved slit. The blonde ninja had a feeling she cleaned herself in preparation for this exact circumstance.

Naruto stretched out his senses more and he suddenly felt it, a massive surge of negative emotions along with dark magical energy.

The Uzumaki still found it hard to believe that magic is real in this new world, along with aliens, demons, angels, gods, and all manner of monsters and extra-dimensional beings.

"Granted, there was the Otsutsuki clan in my dimension, who are extra-dimensional aliens," Naruto thought. But in this universe, everything that could exist probably does. "Hell, even Santa Claus is real."

The hero took off to where he felt the magic and negative emotions, all the while taking out a scroll that he had created to deal with magic users. In a puff of smoke, a headband with the Hidden Leaf symbol, a pouch with Kunais, gloves with metal guards, and a short sword appeared.

The things Naruto took out were all made from Ninth Metal or Nth Metal, which is a metal with special properties, one of which is the ability to disrupt magical energy.

Within seconds, Naruto was where he felt the disturbance and was surprised to see a young woman with gray skin and purple hair fighting against some people who looked like they were part of a cult led by a demon.

The leader was a man with horns and demonic red eyes. He was dressed in red and gold, like the rest of his followers, and he was blasting the grey-skinned woman with magical energy.

"Stop resisting your destiny, girl, and come back with us now," the demonic man ordered as he sent more and more blasts of red magic at the young woman, who created shields of darkness. "You are Trigon's key; it is your fate to be his door to this dimension."

"My name is not 'girl.' Brother Blood, it is Raven, and I will never be what you and my father want me to be," the grey woman spat as she fought desperately against Brother Blood and his cult, who also attacked with magical spells.

Naruto's mind then began to race. He heard of Brother Blood; he is the leader of the Church of Blood. Batman had been looking into them due to several citizens of Gotham being ritually sacrificed by said cult.

From what the cape crusader had managed to find out, the cult's goal was to summon a powerful demon to the world, and in return, it would grant them their wishes. However, both Naruto and Batman know that a demon's words are never real; there is always a catch or a backstab.

Azarath Metrion Zinthos

Naruto watched with interest as Raven released a wave of dark magic, repelling her opponents. The Cult of Blood were all knocked out cold, but Brother Blood was okay; he had defended himself with a red magical barrier.

"I have had enough of your defiance, girl. Now I will show you that there is no escaping your fate with the power your father gifted me," Brother Blood said with an evil laugh.

Suddenly, Brother Blood became even more demonic. He grew in size; he was around six feet before, now he was maybe twelve feet tall. He also grew another set of eyes along with claws.

"You fool, Trigon does not give away power without a price. He will take your body, mind, soul, and even if you reincarnate, you will still belong to him," Raven stated as she looked at Brother Blood with pity, which made him furious.

"I was going to bring you back in one piece, but I changed my mind. Your father only needs you to be willing to open the way for him to invade the world. You don't have to be in one piece," Brother Blood growled as he charged at Raven, intent on ripping her limbs off.

Rasengan

Naruto exclaimed the name of his attack as he appeared in front of Brother Blood and slammed a ball of chakra into his chest, sending the demonic cultist leader flying into a building.

"You are Kage," Raven said as she looked at the hero relaxing a little. "I need your help."

"I know that is what I am here to do," Naruto replied with a smile to ease Raven's fears, but she shook her head with a frown.

"I don't mean Brother Blood exactly. There is something much worse out there," Raven stated grimly as she watched Brother Blood get back up, but he was bleeding with a spiral-shaped scar on his chest.

"Why am I not healing?" Brother Blood exclaimed in panic as he coughed up some blood and dropped to his knees. "What did you do to me?"

Naruto didn't answer his brother. Instead, he looked at his Nth metal gloves, which were woven with threads of Nth metal. A fun fact about the metal is that it's an excellent conductor. So, when he channels his chakra through it, his attacks gain the properties of Nth metal, specifically its magic disruption ability.

"Who knows? But you have some other things to worry about," Naruto remarked as he drew his short sword. "You are going to prison, and I am sure Batman has some questions for you."

"Die, you heathen, in the name of our lord and master Trigon," Brother Blood exclaimed in fury at being stopped from getting his prize.

Naruto was about to attack the demonic man, but he used his magic to manipulate the blood of his followers, making them explode. Their blood then flowed to the villain, healing him.

"I don't know what you did, but it will not stop me. I will have the daughter of Trigon as my bride and use her to bring our lord to this dimension," Brother Blood said in an arrogant voice. Naruto had to resist the urge to roll his eyes at the man's stupidity. Just because he healed himself doesn't change the fact that the ninja can disrupt his magical abilities.

Brother Blood was then consumed by a veil of darkness. Naruto turned to see Raven, but she had changed. She now had an extra pair of glowing red eyes, similar to Brother Blood's.

"You will not decide my fate, human," Raven shouted in a demonic voice. Naruto was surprised at the young woman's appearance, but he was more surprised by the demonic power he sensed within her. It was massive and pure evil, kind of reminding him of himself with Kurama before they became friends.

Naruto watched as Raven kicked Brother Blood's ass; she then went on to drain his power, turning the once demonic man back into a regular human.

The daughter of Trigon was about to crush Brother Blood in a cocoon of darkness, but Naruto intervened, cutting the magical construct with his short sword.

"I know this guy probably deserves death, but you can't do this. You are not in the right state of mind, so calm down," Naruto stated in a firm voice. The Uzumaki didn't care if Brother Blood died or not, but that would only complicate things.

The heroes of this world have a no-killing policy, well, at least most of them, especially Superman and Batman. So, we must follow their example. However, Naruto had to admit that he only kills in extreme cases, which is something the heroes of this world frown upon.

"Get out of my way," Raven roared in rage. Her hatred was overflowing. "He has been hunting me for months now, all to satisfy his lust for power. He deserves to die."

"You are right, he does deserve to die, but not by your hands, like you are now," Naruto replied, making Raven glare at him.

Brother Blood used the standoff between Naruto and Raven to try to make an escape. The half-demon tried to give chase, but Naruto got in her way.

"Fine, if you won't get out of my way, I will deal with you first," Raven declared. Magic exploded out of her in waves and flew at Naruto, who let out a battle cry and charged toward the half-demon.

Fast Forward

Naruto, with torn clothes, had the unconscious Raven over his shoulder. A clone had tied the brother's blood bond and gag on the ground nearby.

"What are we going to do now, boss?" the clone with Brother Blood asked, looking at Raven's hands, seeing handcuffs on them. "Are those necessary?"

"We are going to give Brother Blood to Batman; he should be able to get something out of him," Naruto replied as he looked at the cult leader, who looked at them with rage and hatred. "And I handcuffed Raven because her powers seem unstable."

The handcuff was made from Nth metal; now, Raven wouldn't be able to attack him when she woke up.

The original Naruto gave his clone a nod, and it vanished in a puff of smoke. He looked at the unconscious face of Raven, feeling a kindred spirit with her. She was someone who had a power she never asked for and was hated and hunted because of it.
