Hearing him open up to the listener was so nice, and wow it's so much more sad hearing his story in his own words. Seeing glimpses of happiness (especially at the end, trying to fall asleep together) was so relieving, he deserves it. Reassurance and direct comfort will always be nice to listen to, but there's also something very comforting about sharing struggles and trauma, and understanding one another on a deep level like that. Him learning to heal through force as a child, seeing everyone leave him, trying to use it to bring the person he cared for most back... and failing, and living a life trying to help others to make up for the guilt he's accrued... His laugh at the end was so sweet he deserves so much more than the life of hurt he was given. And the kissing! I screamed /pos I didn't expect it I gasped I :0 The end was so so cute. So lovely. Nearly cried. Your Daan is aaaa /pos {edit: it does say first kiss I don't know how I skipped over that but yes still a pleasant surprise I loved it]
