In my limited knowledge, echolocation is generally in higher frequencies, and low sounds tend to be calls or signals. With the knowledge that this is an echolocation call, I would hypothesize that it is primarily for communication, and would check to see if there are ultrasonic frequencies I cannot hear as well. My reaction would have to depend on the circumstances. A - Am I alone? B - Do I have a reason to suspect something violent happened to the crew, or that I am in danger? C - Is this a huge vessel with lots of places to explore/hide/lay in wait? D - Am I armed? E - Are the lights on? Depending on the answers above my reaction could range from, "That's odd, I should see what's making that noise" to, "Nope! Bye!"
