No it means: "The other one gets what they wanted and the other has to live with what they get" :)

Jimmy and Kim did not kill Howard. The writers did. The truth is that if they knew Howard's personal problems they would not have set him up. Howard always put on that professional lawyer mask, Jimmy had reservations after already sticking it to him, but Kim wanted to get Howard too. I guess she had to break bad because its that universe.

I always loved how Chuck knew about the can trick. I always thought it was because Jimmy was giving him shaken soda cans all the time and Chuck finally found a way to stop it.

Especially after they were beloved earlier. That's how good the writing is which most modern movies & tv shows lack by using two-dimensional characters spewing exposition.

What's wrong with romantic figures? He saved Jesse & made sure his kids were set for life, he still paid the ultimate price for his actions. Walt is still a tragic figure who wasn't entirely bankrupt. Just because you don't like him doesn't change that fact. Jimmy was way more morally corrupt than Walt. Jimmy wanted to kill Jesse & Hank as soon as they became a problem. Walt didn't kill anyone who wasn't in the game as Mike put it.

I prefer BCS to BB in part because of how they portray the downfall of the main character. WW remained a romantic figure, at least in some ways, until the end (cool revenge plot, hugging his beloved meth machinery, etc.). Jimmy's downfall, to me, is much more thoroughly tragic.

Spartan, I don't know why you're being so hard on Kim. Jimmy and Kim are equally responsible for what happened to Howard. Jimmy's hesitation to start this plan wasn’t because he’s a better person than Kim, it was because he was worried he was corrupting her. But when she insisted she was into it, he was very happy to plan the con with her. When problems arose on d-day, he only suggested they call it off for that day so they could regroup and try again another time... he wasn’t going to leave Howard in peace, just reschedule the con. Jimmy and Kim are bringing out the worst in each other and they are equally responsible for getting an innocent person killed.

the entire point has always sort of been fuck jimmy. It's easy to forget because of how funny and charismatic he is. But in breaking bad, he really is a sociopathic scumbag. Better call saul, for the people who had already watched all of breaking bad. Or atleast to me, is about how someone can become this rotten and corrupted.
And this is one of those episodes which is amazing at displaying how far he's fallen since season 1 of bcs.

Lalo called Jimmy "La Cucaracha" which means "the cockroach" because he was a survivor. He sees the cockroach in the sewer which gives him the idea to go see Jimmy. If that never happened Howard might have survived.

This episode is when I knew for sure I was watching one of the best shows ever made. Genuinely the most surprising death I've maybe ever seen. Game of Thrones had a few crazy ones but you kinda knew to expect that kind of stuff. With Howard it was just tragic and terrible and flipped the whole plot on its head. I can't wait for you guys to see how it all plays out by the end cuz it's done so perfectly

I didn’t watch it live at the time, but I’m pretty sure this episode was the mid season finale and the viewers at the time had to wait months for the next one

If only Kim never turned back last episode and ensured that it had to happen today. LALO would have come and dealt with jimmy alone without Howard being there and they may never have gone after Howard after that

When my mother and I watched this episode 2 years ago we were stunned when Lalo walked in and shot Howard. We didn’t speak for about 5 minutes.
Of all the characters in better call Saul we never expected Howard to die. Chuck and Kim were expected but never Howard.

About time Jimmy and Kim had some consequences... Fun fact, Bob Odenkirk had a heart attack filming some scenes for this and the next episode and there was an almost 2 month gap after this episode aired which was painful to wait for
