Added 2024-08-16 20:48:36 +0000 UTCNew video is up with extras for the Patrons, ad free, all that jazz. Hope you like it. Next will be a video on Rogue Trader, then I am going to post a poll to see what you lovely folks would like to see next. Happy back to school for those of you in school.

I'm sorry the reception hasn't been as positive over there. I'd definitely be interested in seeing them on Patreon if it's something you'd like to continue.

2024-09-01 07:04:31 +0000 UTCI'm honestly thinking about cutting the intros out of the youtube versions because whenever I do videos like this, I'm always getting comments like: "We didn't come here for a journal entry." I'll probably do more of these kinds of videos, but the openings will probably be a Patreon thing only.

2024-08-31 14:20:08 +0000 UTCReally enjoyed this. Also despite a few half hearted attempts I haven't played fallout 1 and 2 games since they came out. It's interesting that the NRC seemed like the "good guy's" to my teenage brain.

2024-08-19 13:45:49 +0000 UTCMan that opening was peak Strat-edgy, holy shit. The commentary on how culture encourages creators to play it safe is fascinating as well. 10/10 would question life whilst watching FOLON gameplay again

2024-08-18 12:10:32 +0000 UTCLove the intro introspection. Really sets the tone for the whole video. I also like that you're able to admit that Fallout 4's gameplay was good, even if the factions were bland. I felt the same when playing it.

2024-08-18 09:41:25 +0000 UTCI think you'll be surprised. I'm thinking the fallout 4 vid might be fun, but also, gives me a chance to compare the factions to Wasteland 3's which I think has the best fuckin' factions in a game like that.

2024-08-17 21:28:13 +0000 UTCI think that's because it managed to keep the feel of Doom by having the same monsters, with some new additions. You have to have a mix of old and new to completely please everyone, especially when you are trying to open up a new section of an audience.

2024-08-17 21:26:48 +0000 UTCAgreed! And I'm sure another Fallout 4 video would be good for the money it would likely make. Though I know my minuteman will get totally blasted cause 'another settlement..' and all that. But they really are the best for the people of the commonwealth. Even if they might not be the best equipped to help.

2024-08-17 13:31:27 +0000 UTCYou make a truly fascinating point about Bethesda almost having to play it safe with the tropes of Fallout, cuz the numbers dont lie, thats what most ppl want. An interesting other side to that is DooM. Cuz while 2016 mostly kept the cultural baggage of the IP(tech bases, hell demons mostly the same type of guns) but it radically changed how it played mechanically and level design wise. Eternal changed it up even further introducing even more new elements and shrugged off most of what we think of when we think DooM and Dark Ages looks to completely reinvent the DooM wheel that started with 2016, and so far it has all been a massive success. with even the most purist of old heads unable to come up with much of substance to complain about.
