Life Update / Things back to normal soon
Added 2022-08-26 01:04:41 +0000 UTCI posted here a while back saying that my art output would be slow over the coming months due to the fact that I was spending more time learning to drive, and I just wanted to post an update saying today I finally went in for my road test and managed to pass on my first try. So, hopefully things will get back to normal soon and I'll be able to start getting back into the groove of drawing regularly again.
I just want to say that I really honestly kind of fucking hate driving, or at least the laws around driving. The road test pissed me the fuck off and was just a culmination of the strange hypocrisy you find in drivers ed/motorist handbooks. Best way to describe how the test went is I flat out asked the examiner if going over the speed limit is an instant fail (it is, according to the site) and they said it was. After the test, they got like, mad at me I think for not going over the speed limit and docked points for it? Shit's fucked. (It's not like I was holding up traffic or anything, it was the middle of the work day and we were on residential streets.)
Anyway, I'm going to be focusing a lot on commissions and getting the next comic out, since I kind of need to get my own car here soon. New comic will be a historical fiction story about USMC troops fighting in the Guadalcanal campaign during WWII. It's going to be utterly based and history pilled and there will be very many cool airomplames and jeeps and guns. (And dying of malaria, probably)
