Grimshaw led a team of rangers known as “The Patrol” that protected her village from outsiders and safeguarded their ancient temple of Uhtum, the volatile orc god of fury, vengeance, and war. They killed many who entered their lands seeking the power the temple was rumored to possess. Power many believed only the orcs were resilient enough to wield. This didn’t matter to Rhonch who was already working on infusing orc DNA into his clones. He attacked the village in force, hoping to enslave its inhabitants and harness Uhtum’s power for his own. The Patrol was pushed back to the village center and when Grimshaw saw that she was alone, she retreated into the temple. A squad of combat droids followed her inside, and at the temple’s core, she overcame the hardest fight of her life, proving herself to Uhtum. She became his chosen and he granted her some of his power, potent but unstable. She emerged from the temple with scimitars drawn and glowing red eyes. Before the droids could analyze the situation, she pounced, destroying them all in a tornado of blades. With the village destroyed and the temple no longer a source of power, Grimshaw and the few surviving orcs abandoned their ancient home. Grimshaw vowed to Uhtum that she would sacrifice Rhoncha to him, along with any others who stood in her way.
