It still sounds like Linkin Park and thats all that matters. Some new elements and some old. Very excited to see where this goes. I think they wanted to prove to fans that their favorite band is still around. Crushed it.

Now that day is here!! I’ve followed this band for what seems like forever and so happy with this album. I feel like it encapsulates all the sounds they’ve played around with in the past. It’s also very clear they just went into this to have fun not really knowing it would become an album, hence the diversity of songs! I agree Emily is an amazing fit and an absolute beast. It’s still weird to me hearing her sing the old songs but she absolutely nailed it on this album. Also I agree with Mike’s raps taking you back to the early 2000s lol. Not the biggest fan of those bits but he’s been the main producer for a while and basically the leader of the band so we gotta respect BTW still hoping some day you react to their album A Thousand Suns! :)

I think because these are new songs, they’re easier to accept as something fresh for LP… the new singer sounds fantastic and can take the heavy music. What I struggled with was hearing her vocals on the older songs where we’re expecting Chester, a voice that can’t be replaced. Not sure these are songs I’d come back to like I do with some of the older tracks and maybe that’s because I felt what Chester was saying, some kinda connection. 🫡
