I spent my Tuesday morning in the company of a national treasure, who has been absent for over 6 years. Process is a lot to live up to and the pressure has surely been immense, but Sampha not only delivers, but potentially surpasses his legendary debut here.
Only time will tell if that's true, but LAHAI is a work of immaculate precision, poignant emotions, and deep multi-layered themes.
The real question, though - did it turn me into a puddle like 'No One Knows Me'... well you'll have to watch to find out.

I have never experienced this level of gravitas with a mix of beauty within an album, especially after only listening for about a week. I was so excited to watch this review!! New sub here.
