The original plan for the season being up to 11x16, in my opinion was really enjoyable and I think they should've done a final season 12 to cover The Commonwealth and give time to properly end the show. TWD is my favorite show, but at this point I was kind of just waiting to see how they could possibly wrap up such a big series while dealing with a storyline that felt like it wasn't gonna end any time soon. Also, with the spin-offs already being announced, I think fans were already more excited about that than this storyline. Even though Lance is dead, The Commonwealth is still at our home communities, everything has kind of just shifted to Pamela now. Lance wasn't as important in the comics, but he was basically Pamela's lackey
