2023-02-04 04:22:40 +0000 UTCBREAKER : (now everything will make sense) Breakers are waves. As they approach the shore you can see the whitecap (foam) form and then it crashes. Waves keep coming one after the other like your days. Just like you said during the first listen, music kept building up and then crashing and then building up. And just like the dance practice/performance, if you look at it again, you’ll see it’s very much rhythmic like an ocean or waves building up and crashing. Understanding that word is literally understanding the entire song. You’ll see a lot of references to the ocean within the music because the way Korea is surrounded by water/beaches.

I listen to it when I need a lift me up and I listen to it when feel bumping and grind, but my fav way to listen to it instead during warm weather I removed the roof and doors of my Jeep and blast this song. A feel Suga talks about in the lyrics. Though maybe I’m so used to body rolls being part of the choreography that I don’t even see it as sensual.

Picnic version is my absolute favorite- love the striped version and hearing that enchanting V's voice. The pure magic that unique seven deliver without getting you distracted with mind blowing choreography ( don't get me wrong I DO love those as well) . JK and his golden voice , , Jimin and WWH Jin oh my, Suga, Rap Monster and Jhope all slayed it. You guys are gonna EXPLODE when you get to Blood, Sweat and Tears (which is THE sexy song and choreo of the century) 😂 If I remember correctly, bangtan used to call tomorrow "Suga's masterpiece", he produced the beat pre-debut, when things felt so unstable and scary. I don't know if he started writing the lyrics back then too, but considering he was barely 20 and working in secret as a delivery boy to pay for his education, training at Big Hit for a project that might have never worked out... It might have been the case. This song hits so hard and so much harder when you're struggling and don't know where to go. ALSO! I could see this song growing on you the more you heard it, and I'm sure you'll have this same experience so many times going forward. I know you love the thrill of the first time listen, and some songs might hit you super hard at the very first listen, BUT, bangtan's production and composition are often so complex that you NEED to listen to it more to fully grasp it. I don't know if you're already doing it, but if not, try coming back to some songs on your own later and see if you can understand them in a way you didn't before. My absolute favourite BTS tracks are always b-sides, and more often than not, songs I was confused/meh about at the first few listens 💜💜💜

It’s one of those songs that I don’t listen to everyday but then I come across it and it’s like “wow how can they make such a good song”. Which I can say that about almost all of their songs. Also yes this song is sexy. Sonically and visual wise with the live performance, it’s just sexy. It gives me Chris Brown vibes too. Actually I made an audio (mashup/remix/whatever you’d like to call it) of the chorus to Tomorrow with the instrumental of Chris Brown’s Take you Down for an edit I was making. I like messing around and trying my hand at mashups and stuff like that (not that I’m any good at all lmaoo, it’s just fun). But the two songs fit pretty alright together really. First of all, why was Jin's photo in that lyric video was the one when he was wearing a Hanbok? He looks far different amongst the boys. Lol that just caught my eyes. I guess I just miss him 😩 2. Secondly, SON SEUNGDUK IS NOT HUMAN! I'm telling you guys! He's an alien whose choreo brain is out of this world!! How can he choreograph all of BTS' songs perfectly! 😭 3. If you liked the vibe of this performance, as well as the dance choreo, you might want to check out "LET GO"! 😏 4. Tomorrow has a very diverse production. The way the melodies fit the members' vocal/rapping styles is just incredible. 5. I'm glad we got to hear V's voice during the live - better! (🎶🎵) 6. During 2022 FESTA, BangtanTV uploaded a bunch of their old videos and dance practices. Such a treat, Jordan was right there! 7. I'm with you Jared in this. No judgment - everyone and anyone can be pulled towards these boys esp on a live performance, better-- with a live band! Imagine watching BTS that upclose, intimate and personal in that MBC Picnic live. Their skills are shining even brighter in live and that makes me proud! I also love the breath they take in the song too its almost like saying we're out of breath living this life.... again with the control C and Control V its also a play on words for rinse and repeat same old day... over and over and I feel like Joon's verse at the end could elude to their song love maze but i'm not sure....

BTS has this duality in everything they do. Lyrics being in contrast to melody or beat, cheerful sounding songs being about dark topics or just the way they can switch from cutsie to sexy in a heartbeat. Like JK singing about giving up his youth and normal life to chasing his dreams in ‘My Time’ but choreographing the dace to be superrr sexy. And ‘Am I wrong’ ‘Go go’ and ‘Anpanman’ have very heavy political and socially conscious lyrics but the dance is silly and very fun. (Some of my fav performances) If u wanna see a sexy song and dance BLOOD SWEAT AND TEARS takes the cake for me! 🤭 it has the themes of temptation and seduction. Dimple and Pied Piper are 🔥 too. Again My Time by JK is something else I can’t wait until u guys get into it the smooth and fast RnB vibe with crazy vocals and even crazier dance 😩 And Bapsae!!! Army’s favourite especially in concerts looool. The song has political and generational commentary and many many hip thrusts hahaha. (J-hope kills me every time) They performed this song manyyyy time and tbh EVERY performance is worth a watch. My fav sequence of performances though has to be the Black swan to- Fake Love to- Blood Sweat and Tears sequence in the PTD concerts. The transitions between songs, the vocals and outfits were fireeee Anyway thanks for the vid! I’m glad ur getting into the B-sides. A lot of my fav songs are b- sides. There once was a survey done for Army to vote on their fav songs and had BTS guess the answers. They were shocked to see the top songs voted were ALL B-sides lol. Louder than Bombs was first I think and they said they’ll perform it one day. I hope so cuz it’s on my top 3😩💜

But b sides tend to get more creative and interesting. Just like Eminem always had some goofy first track like the real slim shady or without me, but then the songs he releases later get really intense and deep lol

This type of movement is difficult to perform synchronized because any time you add a body roll or something that fluid there is so much room for interpretation. How you feel it. They really had to get in the mirror and find a common ground of execution. And yet you can look at each member and see individuality. My favorite part, they do a wave with their left arm, that wave continues through the knee, assemble their feet and break open the sun with their arms- and with confidence put their best foot forward. (The lead in before RM raps.) Choreography is story telling. Though something could look sensual it could involve an emotion where that is the best way to visually express it. Tugging and pulling, a pulse, holding onto something precious. During the hip grind they cover their face like they don't want to see what's around the corner even though it could be a good feeling. Tomorrow is a gamble and not promised I guess. And of course for crowd appeal. This song can give you goosebumps the more you let it take over you. 'Pied Piper' is like that for me and you'll get to that one eventually. The fact that RM couldn't even sit down after his part, stands out. It was spiritual/personal in that moment. Having a hand in the writing does that. RMs flow makes me close my eyes and bounce my shoulders. It sounds like my brain moving too fast, treadmill. Jimin's high notes adds a levitation to the song that if you weren't feeling it yet you were now. The final note in Picnic live sounded very blues, more gospel work song..can't put my finger on that genre. Another relatable song by BTS, why is it so hard to stay in the now?

2023-01-20 02:17:05 +0000 UTCI feel like the "Follow your dream like breaker" means going after/pursuing your dreams with back-breaking effort - in the context of the song, even when you feel hopeless or feel stuck, like none of your effort is changing anything and every day is the same, keep following your dream with back-breaking effort and tomorrow might be different. I also love J-hope's line "You, in the future, never forget yourself of now"" - to me, they're saying that when you reach tomorrow, when things do work out and you've achieved your dream or you're at least closer to it, never forget these times where you struggled or who you were in the midst of the day-in day-out grind. I think these thoughts really align with where you guys are at in Rise of Bangtan and fits with BTS's journey and thoughts at that time when this song was released. They talk about feeling like they're lacking inspiration, or that the lyrics just won't come. They're going to bed at 6 or 7 in the morning only to wake up and keep practicing. They were grinding with that back-breaking effort - I really feel like they wrote this song just as much for themselves as they wrote it for ARMY. They needed the encouragement that things could/would change too. Great analysis, guys! LOVE that you're doing more B-sides!!

You can’t change the past, you have to leave it behind but remember who you are as you move towards the future. The most important thing is to live in the present because that’s all we really have. The future will bring what it will. You only have some control over today so don’t miss out on your life. 💜💜🇨🇦

It’s one of the first official BTS producer Suga tracks so it does have its own unique Suga feel to it and his stuff talks a lot about these topics. They live to take social commentary songs and make them hype or sexy it’s like their way fo saying “hey pay more attention to this song” lol. One of my all time favorites and one of the ones I listen to the most.

Don't let that tomorrow get too far away. When that tomorrow does come, you better go for it with all you have.
